但以理在王面前回答王說：『王所問的那機密事、博士和用法術的跟學術士和占卜的都不能告訴王；

但以理回答说：“没有智者、术士、巫师或占星家可以解答王所问的奥秘，

但以理在王面前回答说：“王所问的那隐秘的事，没有智慧人、用法术的、术士和占星家能向王解释；

但以理在王面前回答说：“王所问的那奥秘的事，没有智慧人、占卜者、术士或算命者能讲明给王。

但以理在王面前回答說：「王所問的那奧祕事，哲士、用法術的、術士、觀兆的都不能告訴王，

但以理回答王說：「王所問的那奧祕，智慧人、巫師、術士、觀兆的都不能告訴王，

但以理回答說：「沒有智者、術士、巫師或占星家可以解答王所問的奧秘，

但以理在王面前回答說：“王所問的那隱祕的事，沒有智慧人、用法術的、術士和占星家能向王解釋；

但以理在王面前回答說：「王所問的那奧祕的事，沒有智慧人、占卜者、術士或算命者能講明給王。

但以理對曰、王所問之秘奧、哲士術士、巫人卜筮、不能告王、

對曰、王所問之事、哲人賢者、博士太史、不能告王、

但以理對曰、王所問之奧秘、非哲士、術士、博士、星士、所能告王者、

Daniel replied,“ No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about,

Daniel replied,“ You have asked us to explain a mystery to you. But no wise man can do that. And those who try to figure things out by using magic can’t do it either.

Daniel answered the king and said,“ No wise men, enchanters, magicians, or astrologers can show to the king the mystery that the king has asked,

Daniel replied,“ There are no wise men, enchanters, magicians, or fortune tellers who can reveal the king’s secret.

Daniel answered the king,“ No wise man, medium, magician, or diviner is able to make known to the king the mystery he asked about.

Daniel answered before the king and said,“ As for the secret about which the king has inquired, neither wise men, sorcerers, soothsayer priests, nor diviners are able to declare it to the king.

Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said,“ The secret which the king has demanded, the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, and the soothsayers cannot declare to the king.

Daniel answered before the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded can neither wise men, enchanters, magicians, nor soothsayers, show unto the king;

Daniel answered the king:“ No wise man, medium, diviner-priest, or astrologer is able to make known to the king the mystery he asked about.

Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise[ men], the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king;

Daniel replied to the king,“ The mystery that the king is asking about is such that no wise men, astrologers, magicians, or diviners can possibly disclose it to the king.

Daniel answered before the king, and said,“ The secret which the king has demanded can’t be shown to the king by wise men, enchanters, magicians, or soothsayers;

王使勁地喊着，吩咐人將那些用法術的、那些迦勒底博學的人、和占卜的、領進來。王應時對巴比倫的博士說：『甚麼人能讀這文字，把它的解析向我講明白的、他就可以穿紫紅色袍，脖子上帶金鍊，在國中掌權、居第三位。』於是王所有的博士都進了來，卻不能讀那文字，也不能把解析告訴王。

迦勒底博學的人在王面前回答說：『世界上沒有人能將王所問的事說出來的，因為沒有王、多麼大、多麼有權力、曾經向任何學術士、或用法術的、或迦勒底博學的人、問過這樣事的。王所問的事很難答；除了不居於血肉之軀的神明、沒有別的能在王面前說出來的。』

王吩咐人將學術士和用法術的、行邪術的、迦勒底博學的人、都召了來，將王的夢告訴王。他們就來，站在王面前。

埃及人心裏都很狼狽徬徨；我必混亂他們的計謀；他們必求問神明和念念有詞的、交鬼的和行巫術的。

你儘管堅決進行你的符咒吧！進行你幼年所勞碌而行的，進行你許多邪術吧！或者能有用處！或者可以使人戰抖呀！你因你許多計謀而勞累；如今只管讓那些劃分天象、觀看星辰、在月初播知將來之事的、都站起來，救你脫離所要臨到於你的事呀！看吧，他們必像碎稭，被火焚燒；不能援救自己，脫離火燄之力：這不是可烤而取暖的炭火，也不是可坐於其前的燄火。

是那使信口胡謅者的兆頭無效的，使占卜者變成了狂妄人，使智慧人退後，使他們的智識變為愚拙的，

他破壞狡猾人的計策，使他們的手展不出成功的謀略。他在智慧人自己的狡猾中捉住他們，使邪曲人的計謀迅速地失敗。
