And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this[ is] my name for ever, and this[ is] my memorial unto all generations.

That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise[ men] of Babylon.

As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came[ into thy mind] upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for[ any] wisdom that I have more than any living, but for[ their] sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.

Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

The secret of the LORD[ is] with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.

In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

Wisdom strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty[ men] which are in the city.

A wise man[ is] strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.

And it came to pass at[ the time of] the offering of the[ evening] sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou[ art] God in Israel, and[ that] I[ am] thy servant, and[ that] I have done all these things at thy word.

Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

Then they took away the stone[ from the place] where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up[ his] eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

And said, O LORD God of our fathers,[ art] not thou God in heaven? and rulest[ not] thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand[ is there not] power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?

And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified[ it] by his angel unto his servant John:

A wise[ man] scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.

Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed[ be] thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.

Counsel[ is] mine, and sound wisdom: I[ am] understanding; I have strength.

And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee:I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me,[ and] the mother with the children.

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me,[ bless] his holy name.Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Wisdom[ is] better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us:

Then said I, Wisdom[ is] better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom[ is] despised, and his words are not heard.
