that they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his companions should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

as for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter; and he that revealeth secrets hath made known to thee what shall come to pass.But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but to the intent that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that thou mayest know the thoughts of thy heart.

Surely the Lord Jehovah will do nothing, except he reveal his secret unto his servants the prophets.

The friendship of Jehovah is with them that fear him; And he will show them his covenant.

Now as for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

Wisdom is a strength to the wise man more than ten rulers that are in a city.

A wise man is strong; Yea, a man of knowledge increaseth might.

And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening oblation, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, O Jehovah, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.

Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou heardest me.

and one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not; behold, the Lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath overcome to open the book and the seven seals thereof.

And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, O Jehovah, who saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will do thee good:I am not worthy of the least of all the lovingkindnesses, and of all the truth, which thou hast showed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two companies.Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he come and smite me, the mother with the children.

Bless Jehovah, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless his holy name.Bless Jehovah, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits:Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases;Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Wisdom is better than weapons of war; but one sinner destroyeth much good.

No longer do I call you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I heard from my Father I have made known unto you.

Jehovah our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us;

Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.
