Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?”Then God said to Solomon:“ Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life— but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king—wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like.”

And they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. They shall make you eat grass like oxen; and seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses.”

And when He hides His face, who then can see Him, Whether it is against a nation or a man alone?—

And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore.

And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted.Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.Then God said to him:“ Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice,behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you.

The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory.“ For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, And He has set the world upon them.

Now all the earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had rendered; and they feared the king, for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him to administer justice.

By me kings reign, And rulers decree justice.By me princes rule, and nobles, All the judges of the earth.

He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.He has put down the mighty from their thrones, And exalted the lowly.

with all his reign and his might, and the events that happened to him, to Israel, and to all the kingdoms of the lands.

Only may the Lord give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

And at the end of some years they shall join forces, for the daughter of the king of the South shall go to the king of the North to make an agreement; but she shall not retain the power of her authority, and neither he nor his authority shall stand; but she shall be given up, with those who brought her, and with him who begot her, and with him who strengthened her in those times.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God— and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—

Then the king said to the wise men who understood the times( for this was the king’s manner toward all who knew law and justice,

To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up;A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance;A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away;A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak;A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.

For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;
