He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

He asked them to pray that the God of heaven would give him mercy. He wanted God to help him understand the mystery of the king’s dream. Then he and his friends wouldn’t be killed along with Babylon’s other wise men.

你呼求我，我就應你，將你所不知的、一些又大又難作到的事指示你。

我還告訴你們，若是你們中間兩個人在地上、對他們所要求的一切事同心合意，我在天上的父就必給他們作成。

在患難的日子你要呼求我，我便救拔你；你就榮耀我。』

萬一五十個義人缺了五個呢，你還要因為缺了五個就毁滅全城麼？』他說：『我若在那裏見有四十五個，我也不毁滅那城。』

大衛說：『那援救我脫離獅子的爪和熊爪的永恆主、他也必援救我脫離這個非利士人的手。』掃羅對大衛說：『你去吧；永恆主必和你同在。』

那時你們就必重新看出義人與惡人之間、事奉上帝的與不事奉上帝的之間、有甚麼分別了。

或者永恆主你的上帝聽見參謀長的話，就是他主上亞述王打發他來辱罵永活之上帝的；或者永恆主你的上帝會斥責他所聽見的話：故此求你為所有餘剩之民呈上禱告。」』

然而主卻站在我旁邊，給我能力，使該宣傳的藉着我都得傳盡，而外國人都聽見，我也得救援、脫離獅子的口。主必援救我脫離各樣兇惡的事，也救護我進他屬天之國。願榮耀歸於他，世世無窮！阿們。

以斯帖就吩咐人去回答末底改說：『你去招聚書珊所找得着的一切猶大人為我禁食，不喫不喝三天，就是三晝三夜；我也這樣，我和我的侍女也要禁食；這樣，我就不照法令進去見王；我若死，就死罷。』於是末底改就去，照以斯帖所吩咐他的一切話去行。

你們以為怎樣？一個人若有一百隻羊，其中有一隻走迷了路，難道他不撇下這九十九隻在山上，去找那隻迷路的麼？

既然如此，主當然也曉得怎樣援救敬虔的人脫離試煉，怎樣拘留不義的人、等候着審判的日子來受刑罰；

既將彼得逮住了，便放在監裏，交給每組四人的四組兵看守，有意思要在逾越節後把他提上來在民眾面前辦他。

他們聽見了，就同心合意提高了聲音向上帝說：『主宰啊，你是造天地海和其中萬物的；你曾藉着聖靈、託你僕人、我們先祖大衛、的口說：「眾外國為甚麼怒吼？列族之民為甚麼謀算虛空的事？地上君王列陣站着，眾執政者聚集在一處，敵擋主，敵擋他所膏立的」。希律和本丟彼拉多、同外國人和以色列眾族之民、真地在這城裏聚集，攻打你所膏立的聖僕耶穌，要作你手和你計畫所豫定必成的一切事。如今主啊，鑒察他們的恐嚇哦，使你僕人能完全放膽無懼講你的道；同時伸出你的手來醫病，使神迹奇事、藉你聖僕耶穌的名、行了出來。』祈求完了、他們聚集的地方都搖動了；眾人都充滿着聖靈，放膽無懼講上帝之道。

弟兄們，我憑着我們的主耶穌基督、又憑着聖靈所感動的愛、勸你們在替我向上帝禱告的事上、和我一同奮鬥、

你要全心仰賴着永恆主，不可依靠你自己的聰明；在你一切所行的路上、你都要認定他，他就使你的路徑平直。

即便如此，我們所事奉的上帝也能將我們從烈火燃燒着的窰中解救出來；王啊，他是一定會解救我們脫離你的手的。
