He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

He asked them to pray that the God of heaven would give him mercy. He wanted God to help him understand the mystery of the king’s dream. Then he and his friends wouldn’t be killed along with Babylon’s other wise men.

但是主站在我身邊，使我剛強，為要藉著我使傳道得以完成，讓所有外邦人都能聽見；我也從獅子口裡被救了出來。主將會救我脫離一切凶惡之事，並且救我進入他屬天的國度。願榮耀歸於他，直到永永遠遠！阿們。

以斯帖回覆末迪凱，說：「你當去，把所有在蘇薩中的猶太人都聚集起來，為我禁食，三天三夜不吃不喝；我和我的使女們也會如此禁食。然後我就去見王，雖然這樣不符合法令；我如果因此滅亡，就滅亡吧！」於是末迪凱就出去，照著以斯帖所吩咐他的一切去做。

你們怎麼看以下的事？如果一個人有一百隻羊，其中一隻迷失了，難道他不把九十九隻留在山上，去尋找那一隻迷失的嗎？

那麼，主就知道怎樣拯救敬神的人脫離試煉，卻把不義的人留在懲罰之下，直到審判的日子，

希律抓了彼得，把他關進監獄，交給四班士兵看守，每班四個人，打算在逾越節以後把他提到民眾面前審判。

他們聽了，就同心合意地高聲向神說：「主啊，你是造了天、地、海和其中萬有的那一位。你曾經藉著聖靈，用你的僕人——我們先祖大衛的口說：『列國為什麼狂怒騷亂，眾民為什麼圖謀虛空？地上的眾君王都起來，首領們也聚集在一起，抵擋主和他的基督。』「事實上，希律和本丟彼拉多，與外邦人和以色列子民果然在這城裡一同聚集，對付你所膏立的聖僕耶穌，做成了你手和你計劃所預定要成就的一切事。主啊，現在求你鑒察他們的威嚇，使你的奴僕們能滿有膽量地傳講你的話語。求你伸出你的手，藉著你聖僕耶穌的名，使疾病痊癒，施行神蹟和奇事。」他們禱告完了，聚集的地方就被震動，大家都被聖靈充滿，就坦然無懼地傳講神的話語。

弟兄們，藉著我們的主耶穌基督、藉著聖靈的愛，我懇求你們與我一同竭力為我向神禱告：

你要全心依靠耶和華，不要依賴自己的悟性；在你一切的道路上，都要認定他，他就會修直你的路。

如果真被扔進火窯中，我們所事奉的神也能從烈火燃燒的窯中拯救我們；王啊，他必從你的手中拯救我們！
