and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they didn’t receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.Because of this, God sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie;that they all might be judged who didn’t believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The rest of mankind, who were not killed with these plagues, didn’t repent of the works of their hands, that they wouldn’t worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood; which can’t see, hear, or walk.They didn’t repent of their murders, their sorceries, their sexual immorality, or their thefts.

that the wise man may hear, and increase in learning; that the man of understanding may attain to sound counsel:

But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God, except God’s Spirit.But we received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.We also speak these things, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.Now the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned.But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one.“ For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?” But we have Christ’s mind.

If anyone desires to do his will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is from God, or if I am speaking from myself.

I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say,‘ It is my people;’ and they will say,‘ Yahweh is my God.’”

My son, if you will receive my words, and store up my commandments within you,so as to turn your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;yes, if you call out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding;if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures:then you will understand the fear of Yahweh, and find the knowledge of God.

“ Those who are wise among the people will instruct many; yet they will fall by the sword and by flame, by captivity and by plunder, many days.

He said to them,“ Foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!

For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice profanity, and to utter error against Yahweh, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.The ways of the scoundrel are evil. He devises wicked plans to destroy the humble with lying words, even when the needy speaks right.

According as it is written,“ God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear, to this very day.”David says,“ Let their table be made a snare, a trap, a stumbling block, and a retribution to them.Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see. Always keep their backs bent.”

Pilate therefore said to him,“ Are you a king then?” Jesus answered,“ You say that I am a king. For this reason I have been born, and for this reason I have come into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”

Those who are wise will shine as the brightness of the expanse. Those who turn many to righteousness will shine as the stars forever and ever.

One of the elders answered, saying to me,“ These who are arrayed in the white robes, who are they, and where did they come from?”I told him,“ My lord, you know.” He said to me,“ These are those who came out of the great suffering. They washed their robes, and made them white in the Lamb’s blood.

It was given to her that she would array herself in bright, pure, fine linen: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

Whoever is wise will pay attention to these things. They will consider the loving kindnesses of Yahweh.

The armies which are in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in white, pure, fine linen.

“ Come now, and let’s reason together,” says Yahweh:“ Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores. They didn’t repent of their works.

But the miry places of it, and its marshes, will not be healed. They will be given up to salt.

Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently,

He said to them,“ To you is given the mystery of God’s Kingdom, but to those who are outside, all things are done in parables,

Some of you were such, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness, and from all your idols.

For they indeed, for a few days, punished us as seemed good to them; but he for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness.

Having therefore these promises, beloved, let’s cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, that you may become rich; and white garments, that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see.

who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.

As the proverb of the ancients says,‘ Out of the wicked comes wickedness;’ but my hand will not be on you.

that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ—
