that the triumphing of the wicked is short, the joy of the godless but for a moment?Though his height mount up to the heavens, and his head reach to the clouds,yet he will perish forever like his own dung. Those who have seen him will say,‘ Where is he?’

I have seen the wicked in great power, spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil.But he passed away, and behold, he was not. Yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.

“ After this I saw, and behold, another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The animal also had four heads; and dominion was given to it.

The whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields to the brook Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, will be holy to Yahweh. It will not be plucked up or thrown down any more forever.”

There is one who is alone, and he has neither son nor brother. There is no end to all of his labor, neither are his eyes satisfied with wealth.“ For whom then, do I labor and deprive my soul of enjoyment?” This also is vanity. Yes, it is a miserable business.

Those who trust in their wealth, and boast in the multitude of their riches—none of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give God a ransom for him.For the redemption of their life is costly, no payment is ever enough,that he should live on forever, that he should not see corruption.For he sees that wise men die; likewise the fool and the senseless perish, and leave their wealth to others.Their inward thought is that their houses will endure forever, and their dwelling places to all generations. They name their lands after themselves.But man, despite his riches, doesn’t endure. He is like the animals that perish.

until I entered God’s sanctuary, and considered their latter end.Surely you set them in slippery places. You throw them down to destruction.How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors.As a dream when one wakes up, so, Lord, when you awake, you will despise their fantasies.
