That the triumphing of the wicked is short, And the joy of the godless but for a moment?Though his height mount up to the heavens, And his head reach unto the clouds;Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: They that have seen him shall say, Where is he?

I have seen the wicked in great power, And spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil.But one passed by, and, lo, he was not: Yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

After this I beheld, and, lo, another, like a leopard, which had upon its back four wings of a bird; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

They that trust in their wealth, And boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;None of them can by any means redeem his brother, Nor give to God a ransom for him( For the redemption of their life is costly, And it faileth for ever),That he should still live alway, That he should not see corruption.For he shall see it. Wise men die; The fool and the brutish alike perish, And leave their wealth to others.Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, And their dwelling- places to all generations; They call their lands after their own names.But man being in honor abideth not: He is like the beasts that perish.

Until I went into the sanctuary of God, And considered their latter end.Surely thou settest them in slippery places: Thou castest them down to destruction.How are they become a desolation in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors.As a dream when one awaketh, So, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou wilt despise their image.
