我主之僕、焉得與我主言乎、斯時我力盡廢、我氣俱無、

氣力悉廢、僕焉得與主言、

身弱不堪、似喪神魂、我主之僕、焉得與我主言、

How can I, your servant, talk with you, my lord? My strength is gone and I can hardly breathe.”

看見了以色列的神。在他的腳下，彷彿有藍寶石鋪道，明淨如天。他不把手伸在以色列領袖的身上。他們瞻仰神，又吃又喝。

當烏西雅王崩的那年，我看見主坐在高高的寶座上。他的衣裳下襬遮滿聖殿。上有撒拉弗侍立，各有六個翅膀：兩個翅膀遮臉，兩個翅膀遮腳，兩個翅膀飛翔，彼此呼喊說：「聖哉！聖哉！聖哉！萬軍之耶和華；他的榮光遍滿全地！」因呼喊者的聲音，門檻的根基震動，殿裏充滿了煙雲。那時我說：「禍哉！我滅亡了！因為我是嘴唇不潔的人，住在嘴唇不潔的民中，又因我親眼看見大君王－萬軍之耶和華。」

基甸見他是耶和華的使者，就說：「哎呀！主耶和華啊！因為我真的面對面看見了耶和華的使者。」

他又說：「只是你不能看見我的面，因為沒有人看見我還可以存活。」

耶穌說：「這樣，大衛被聖靈感動，怎麼還稱他為主，說：『主對我主說：你坐在我的右邊，等我把你的仇敵放在你腳下？』

從來沒有人見過神，只有在父懷裏獨一的兒子將他表明出來。

耶和華的使者不再向瑪挪亞和他的妻子顯現了。那時，瑪挪亞才知道他是耶和華的使者。瑪挪亞對他的妻子說：「我們一定會死，因為我們看見了神。」他的妻子卻對他說：「耶和華若有意要我們死，就不會從我們手中接受燔祭和素祭，不會將這一切事指示我們，這時也不會讓我們聽到這話。」

你們還要說：『看哪，你僕人雅各在我們後面。』」因雅各說：「我藉着在我前面送去的禮物給他面子，然後再見他的面，或許他會寬容我。」

大衛被聖靈感動，說：『主對我主說：你坐在我的右邊，等我把你的仇敵放在你腳下。』
