But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.

But the prince of Persia opposed me for 21 days. Then Michael came to help me. He is one of the leaders of the angels. He helped me win the battle over the king of Persia.

But for twenty one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia.

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation[ even] to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and[ there is] none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high[ places].

Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.

And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee:[ is] not this a brand plucked out of the fire?

Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building,And hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.And in the reign of Ahasuerus, in the beginning of his reign, wrote they[ unto him] an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem.

Then ceased the work of the house of God which[ is] at Jerusalem. So it ceased unto the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.
