彼告我曰、上帝所眷愛之但以理、我奉命語爾、爾當起立、聽我所言、我聞此不勝戰慄、強起而立、

He said,“ Daniel, you who are highly esteemed, consider carefully the words I am about to speak to you, and stand up, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he said this to me, I stood up trembling.

The man said,“ Daniel, you are highly respected. Think carefully about what I am going to say to you. And stand up. God has sent me to you.” When he said that, I trembled as I stood up.

And he said to me,“ O Daniel, man greatly loved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for now I have been sent to you.” And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling.

And the man said to me,“ Daniel, you are very precious to God, so listen carefully to what I have to say to you. Stand up, for I have been sent to you.” When he said this to me, I stood up, still trembling.

He said to me,“ Daniel, you are a man treasured by God. Understand the words that I’m saying to you. Stand on your feet, for I have now been sent to you.” After he said this to me, I stood trembling.

And he said to me,“ Daniel, you who are treasured, understand the words that I am about to tell you and stand at your place, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling.

And he said to me,“ O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.” While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling.

And he said unto me, O Daniel, thou man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright; for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

He said to me,“ Daniel, you are a man treasured by God. Understand the words that I’m saying to you. Stand on your feet, for I have now been sent to you.” After he said this to me, I stood trembling.

And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

He said to me,“ Daniel, you are of great value. Understand the words that I am about to speak to you. So stand up, for I have now been sent to you.” When he said this to me, I stood up shaking.

He said to me,“ Daniel, you greatly beloved man, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright; for I have been sent to you, now.” When he had spoken this word to me, I stood trembling.

我又聽見從烏萊河兩岸之間，有人的聲音呼叫著說：“加百列啊！你要使這人明白這異象。”他就來到我所站的地方；他來到的時候，我就害怕，臉伏在地；他對我說：“人子啊，你要明白！這異象是關於末後的時期的。”

美味的食物我沒有吃，肉和酒沒有入我的口，我也沒有用膏油抹身，整整三個星期。

彼得轉過身來，看見耶穌所愛的那門徒跟著，就是在晚飯的時候，靠著耶穌的胸膛，問“主啊，出賣你的是誰？”的那個人。

門徒中有一個人，是耶穌所愛的，側身挨近耶穌（“側身挨近耶穌”原文作“在耶穌的胸懷裡”）。

“我的心因此戰兢，跳離原處。

他向我解釋，說：“但以理啊！現在我來，要使你有智慧，有聰明。你開始懇求的時候，就有命令發出。因為你是大蒙眷愛的，所以我來告訴你；你要留意這信息，明白這異象。

他說：“大蒙眷愛的人哪！不要懼怕，願你平安，你要大大剛強。”他和我說話的時候，我就剛強起來；於是我說：“我主請說，因為你剛強了我。”

你起來，站著，我向你顯現，是要指派你為我工作。你要為你所見過的事，和我將要向你顯明的事作見證。

王就愛慕你的美麗；因為他是你的主，你要向他俯伏。

我屬我的良人，他也戀慕我。

起來，進城去！你應當作的事，一定有人告訴你。”

因為驚恐戰慄，她們一從墳墓出來就逃跑；由於害怕，她們甚麼也沒有告訴人。（有些抄本無第9至20節）

恐懼戰慄臨到我，以致我全身發抖。有靈拂過我面前，使我毛骨悚然。那靈站住，我辨不出他的形狀，只見有一形象在我眼前，然後我聽見低微的聲音，說：
