所示爾晝夜日數之異象乃真、惟當封之、蓋關乎多日之後也、

宦官長易其名、稱但以理曰伯提沙撒、稱哈拿尼雅曰沙得拉、稱米沙利曰米煞、稱亞撒利雅曰亞伯尼歌、

此四少者、上帝賜以知識聰睿、精於文字學術、但以理洞悉諸啟示及夢兆、

又謂我曰、書之、凡見召赴羔之婚筵者福矣、又曰、此乃上帝誠實之言也、

但以理對曰、爾饋可反於己、爾賚可錫他人、雖然、我必為王讀斯文而解之、

但以理歟、爾其封此言、鈐此書、以待末期、將有多人往來、世人增其識見、○

上載古列王元年降詔曰、耶路撒冷上帝之室、當建築之、以為獻祭之所、使基鞏固、其室高六十肘寬六十肘、

今我來此、俾爾知爾民末日所遭之事、蓋此異象、歷多日始應也、

賄通議士、以敗其志、自波斯王古列在位之日、至波斯王大利烏即位之年、皆如是、

論古列曰、乃為我牧、成我所悅、論耶路撒冷曰、必得建造、論聖殿曰、其基必立、耶和華膏古列、執其右手、服列國於其前、去諸王之腰束、啟其邑門、俾不復閉、

上帝定此、將速成之、故使法老復夢、

巴比倫王古列元年降詔、使復建上帝室、上帝室中金銀器皿、昔尼布甲尼撒自耶路撒冷之殿所取、置諸巴比倫廟者、古列王取之於彼、以付所立之方伯、名設巴薩、謂之曰、以此器皿、置諸耶路撒冷之殿、建上帝室於其所、設巴薩至、立耶路撒冷上帝室之基、迄今建築、猶未告成、如王以為善、請稽巴比倫王庫、知古列王果否降詔、使建上帝室在耶路撒冷、並請以王之旨示我、

曰、但以理歟、爾其往哉、因斯言封而鈐之、以俟末期、

彼變更時日、廢立君王、以智賜哲士、以識賜達人、

波斯王古列元年、耶和華使藉耶利米口所言得應、感波斯王古列之心、宣告通國、且書之曰、波斯王古列云、天上上帝耶和華、以天下萬國賜我、命我在猶大之耶路撒冷、為之建室、爾中凡為其民者可上、願其上帝耶和華偕之、波斯王古列元年、耶和華使藉耶利米口所言得應、感波斯王古列之心、宣告通國、且書之曰、波斯王古列云、天上上帝耶和華、以天下萬國賜我、命我在猶大之耶路撒冷、為之建室、

耶和華室中之器、昔尼布甲尼撒自耶路撒冷所取、置於己神之廟、今波斯王古列、藉司庫米提利達攜出、核之、付於猶大牧伯設巴薩、

其名但以理、王稱之為伯提沙撒、心性佳妙、有智慧聰睿、且能解夢兆、明隱語、釋秘奧、今召之至、彼必解之、○

與我言而誨我曰、但以理歟、今我出而至此、錫爾聰明智慧、爾始祈時、有命出、我則來示爾、蓋爾大蒙眷愛、當思維斯事、而明其異象、

終有但以理、依我神之名、稱曰伯提沙撒、為聖神之靈所感者、至於我前、我以夢告之曰、

今我以真實示爾、波斯國猶有三王崛興、其四者較為富饒、迨其因富而強、則慫恿羣眾、以攻希臘國、

爾必默不能言、以至事成之日、因爾不信我言、而屆時必應也、

亦聞烏萊河兩岸之間、有人聲呼曰、加百列歟、其使斯人知此異象、

以金予石工木工、以糧酒油、予西頓推羅人、使運香柏、自利巴嫩至海、抵於約帕、遵波斯王古列之詔、○
