这些年轻人必须没有残疾、英俊、足智多才、有高度学习能力、明察事理，而且他们必须有能力可以在王宫里工作。你要教他们学习迦勒底的文学和语言。”

他们没有任何残疾，样貌美好，在各样的智慧上明达，明白知识，在学识上有悟性，有能力在王宫中侍立；王又吩咐太监长教导他们迦勒底人的文学和语言。

即少年無疵、美姿容、嫻智慧、具知識、明格致、可侍於王宮者、教以迦勒底人之學術語言、

皆無瑕疵、丰采甚都、智識兼備、可立於朝者、教以迦勒底人語言文字王日賜以糈糧酒醴、比及三年、乃使侍於王前、

選少者數人、皆須無瑕疵、相貌俊美、通達各學各術、知識具備、可侍立於王宮者、當教之以迦勒底之文詞言語、

young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king’s palace. He was to teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians.

He was looking for young men who were healthy and handsome. They had to be able to learn anything. They had to be well educated. They had to have the ability to understand new things quickly and easily. The king wanted men who could serve in his palace. Ashpenaz was supposed to teach them the Babylonian language and writings.

youths without blemish, of good appearance and skillful in all wisdom, endowed with knowledge, understanding learning, and competent to stand in the king’s palace, and to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans.

“ Select only strong, healthy, and good looking young men,” he said.“ Make sure they are well versed in every branch of learning, are gifted with knowledge and good judgment, and are suited to serve in the royal palace. Train these young men in the language and literature of Babylon.”

摩西学了埃及人一切的学问，说话办事都有才能。

全以色列中，无人像押沙龙那样俊美，得人称赞，从脚底到头顶毫无瑕疵。

你看见办事殷勤的人吗？他必侍立在君王面前，不在平庸的人面前。

人若伤害邻舍以致残疾，他怎样做，也要照样向他做：以伤还伤，以眼还眼，以牙还牙。他怎样使人有残疾，也要照样向他做。

这四个少年，神在各样文字学问上赐给他们知识和聪明；但以理又明白各样异象和梦兆。王吩咐带他们进宫的日子到了，太监长就把他们带到尼布甲尼撒面前。王与他们谈论，在所有少年中找不到人能与但以理、哈拿尼雅、米沙利、亚撒利雅相比，于是他们就在王面前侍立。王考问他们一切智慧和聪明的事，发现他们比全国所有的术士和巫师胜过十倍。

因为凡有残疾的，无论是失明的、瘸腿的、五官不正的、肢体之一过长的、断脚的、断手的、驼背的、侏儒的、有眼疾的、长癣的、长疥的，或是睾丸压伤的，都不可近前来。亚伦祭司的后裔，凡有残疾的都不可近前来献耶和华的火祭。他有残疾，不可近前来献神的食物。

大声吩咐将巫师、迦勒底人和观兆的领进来。王对巴比伦的智慧人说：“谁能读这文字，并且向我讲解它的意思，他必身穿紫袍，项带金链，在我国中位列第三。”

就在那时，摩西生了下来，神看为俊美，在父亲家里被抚养了三个月。

迦勒底人用亚兰话对王说：“愿王万岁！请将梦告诉仆人，我们就可以讲解。”王回答迦勒底人说：“这事我已决定，你们若不把梦和梦的解释告诉我，就必被凌迟，你们的房屋必成粪堆；

王吩咐人将术士、巫师、行邪术的和迦勒底人召来，要他们把王的梦告诉王；他们就来，站在王面前。

于是那些术士、巫师、迦勒底人、观兆的都进来，我将那梦告诉他们，他们却不能把梦的解释告诉我。

基甸对西巴和撒慕拿说：“你们在他泊山所杀的人是什么样子的？”他们说：“他们很像你，个个都有王子的样子。”

在那时，有几个迦勒底人进前来控告犹大人。

智慧使拥有智慧的人比城中十个官长更有能力。

好献给自己，作荣耀的教会，毫无玷污、皱纹等类的缺陷，而是圣洁没有瑕疵的。

迦勒底人回答王说：“世上没有人能解释王的事情；从来没有君王、大臣、掌权者向术士、巫师，或迦勒底人问过这样的事。

但以理说：“神的名是应当称颂的，从亘古直到永远！因为智慧和能力都属乎他。他改变时间、季节，他废王，立王；将智慧赐给智慧人，将知识赐给聪明人。
