皆無瑕疵、丰采甚都、智識兼備、可立於朝者、教以迦勒底人語言文字王日賜以糈糧酒醴、比及三年、乃使侍於王前、

選少者數人、皆須無瑕疵、相貌俊美、通達各學各術、知識具備、可侍立於王宮者、當教之以迦勒底之文詞言語、

young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king’s palace. He was to teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians.

He was looking for young men who were healthy and handsome. They had to be able to learn anything. They had to be well educated. They had to have the ability to understand new things quickly and easily. The king wanted men who could serve in his palace. Ashpenaz was supposed to teach them the Babylonian language and writings.

youths without blemish, of good appearance and skillful in all wisdom, endowed with knowledge, understanding learning, and competent to stand in the king’s palace, and to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans.

“ Select only strong, healthy, and good looking young men,” he said.“ Make sure they are well versed in every branch of learning, are gifted with knowledge and good judgment, and are suited to serve in the royal palace. Train these young men in the language and literature of Babylon.”

摩西学尽了埃及人的一切学问，说话行事都有能力。

在全以色列中，没有一个人像押沙龙那样英俊，得人称赞，从脚底到头顶，都没有一点缺陷。

你见过办事能干的人吗？他必侍立在君王面前，必不会侍立在低微的人面前。

如果有人使他的同伴伤残；他怎样待人，人也必怎样待他；以伤还伤，以眼还眼，以牙还牙；他怎样使人伤残，人也必怎样使他伤残。

这四个年轻人在各种文字和学问上，神都赐他们知识和聪明；但以理并且能明白一切异象和异梦。到了王吩咐带所有年轻人进宫的日子，太监长就领他们到尼布甲尼撒王面前。王和他们谈话，发现他们所有的人中，没有一个比得上但以理、哈拿尼雅、米沙利、亚撒利雅的；他们四人就侍立在王面前。王考问他们一切智慧和聪明的事，就发现他们比全国所有的术士和用法术的更胜十倍。

因为有残疾的，无论是瞎眼、瘸腿、五官不正、畸形、断脚断手的、驼背、矮小、眼睛有毛病、长癣、生疹，或是肾子损坏的，都不可走近来，亚伦祭司的后裔中，有残疾的，都不可上前来献耶和华的火祭；他既有残疾，就不可上前来献他的神的食物。

王大声呼叫，吩咐人把那些用法术的和迦勒底人，以及占星家都领进来；王对巴比伦的智慧人说：“谁能读这文字，又能向我解释它的意思，他必身穿紫袍，颈戴金链，在国中掌权，位列第三。”

就在那时候，摩西出生了，他非常俊美，在父亲的家中抚养了三个月。

迦勒底人用亚兰话对王说：“愿王万岁！请把那梦告诉仆人，我们好解释梦的意思。”王回答迦勒底人说：“我已经定旨：如果你们不把那梦和梦的意思向我说明，就必被碎尸万段，你们的家必成为废墟。

于是王吩咐人把术士、用法术的、行邪术的和迦勒底人都召来，要他们把王的梦告诉王。他们来了，站在王面前。

于是术士、用法术的、迦勒底人和占星家都进来；我当面把那梦告诉了他们，可是他们却不能把梦的意思向我说明。

基甸问西巴和撒慕拿：“你们在他泊山上所杀的人，是什么模样的人？”他们回答：“他们像你一样，每一个都像王子的模样。”

那时，有几个迦勒底人前来，诬蔑控告犹大人。

智慧使智慧人比城中十个官长更有能力。

可以作荣耀的教会归给自己，什么污点皱纹等也没有，而是圣洁没有瑕疵的。

迦勒底人在王面前回答说：“世上没有人能把王所问的事说出来，因为从来没有一个伟大和有权势的君王向术士、用法术的和迦勒底人询问过这样的事。

但以理说：“愿神的名得称颂，从永远直到永远，因为智慧和能力都是属他的。他改变时间、季节；他废王、立王；他赐智慧给智慧人，赐知识给聪明人。
