彼為爾曹及老底嘉並希拉波立人、甚有熱心、我可為證、

渠為爾等、並為洛底嘉及耶拉保利同人、甘受多辛、此予可為渠證明也。

I vouch for him that he is working hard for you and for those at Laodicea and Hierapolis.

I am happy to tell you that he is working very hard for you. He is also working hard for everyone in Laodicea and Hierapolis.

For I bear him witness that he has worked hard for you and for those in Laodicea and in Hierapolis.

我愿意你们知道，我为你们和在老底嘉的人，以及所有没有跟我见过面的人，是怎样竭力奋斗，

请问候在老底嘉的弟兄和宁法，以及在她家里的教会。这封信你们宣读了以后，也要交给老底嘉的教会宣读；你们也要读老底嘉的那封信。

我可以作证，他们是按着能力，并且是超过了能力，自愿地

我可以为他们作证，他们对神有热心，但不是按着真见识；

“你要写信给在老底嘉教会的使者，说：‘那位阿们的，忠信真实的见证人，神创造万有的根源，这样说：我知道你的行为，你不冷也不热；我巴不得你或冷或热。因为你好像温水，不热也不冷，所以我要把你从我口中吐出去。你说：我是富足的，已经发了财，毫无缺乏。却不知你是困苦的、可怜的、贫穷的、瞎眼的、赤身的。我劝你向我买精炼的金子，使你富足；又买白衣穿上，使你赤身的羞耻不会显露出来；也买眼药膏抹你的眼睛，使你可以看见。

说：“你所看见的，要写在书上，也要寄给以弗所、士每拿、别迦摩、推雅推拉、撒狄、非拉铁非、老底嘉七个教会。”
