彼得一回到耶路撒冷，嚴守割禮的門徒就指責他：

但安慰沮喪之人的上帝藉著提多的到來激勵了我們。我們得到激勵，不但是因為提多來了，也因為看到他從你們那裡得到了激勵。他把你們對我的想念、對我的熱心以及你們的哀痛都告訴了我，這使我更加歡喜。

他也做了受割禮之人的父。這些人不只是受了割禮，還跟隨我們先祖亞伯拉罕的腳步，效法他在未受割禮時的信心。

我是為了傳揚基督耶穌而被囚禁的保羅，與提摩太弟兄寫信給我們親愛的同工腓利門弟兄、

弟兄姊妹，你們的信心使我們在萬般困苦和患難中得到了激勵。

忠心的同工啊，請你幫助她們二人，因為她們曾與我、革利免和其他同工一起為福音辛勞，這些人的名字都記錄在生命冊上了。

有關我一切的事情，推基古會告訴你們。他是我親愛的弟兄，是和我一同事奉主的忠僕。

亞波羅算什麼？保羅算什麼？我們不過是上帝的僕人，各人照著主所賜的才幹引導你們信靠上帝。我栽種，亞波羅灌溉，但使之生長的是上帝。所以栽種的和灌溉的都算不得什麼，一切都在於使之生長的上帝。其實栽種的人和澆灌的人目標都一樣，各人將按照自己的付出得報酬。因為我們是上帝的同工，你們是上帝的園地和建築。

因此，你們要記住，從前按照肉體來說你們是外族人，那些肉體上受過人手所行割禮的以色列人稱你們為「沒有受過割禮的」。

因為有許多悖逆之人喜歡空談，善於欺騙，尤其是那些奉行割禮的人。

派提摩太去你們那裡。他在傳揚基督福音的事工上是我們的弟兄、上帝的同工。他去是要鼓勵你們，使你們信心堅定，
