彼得一回到耶路撒冷，严守割礼的门徒就指责他：

但安慰沮丧之人的上帝借着提多的到来激励了我们。我们得到激励，不但是因为提多来了，也因为看到他从你们那里得到了激励。他把你们对我的想念、对我的热心以及你们的哀痛都告诉了我，这使我更加欢喜。

他也做了受割礼之人的父。这些人不只是受了割礼，还跟随我们先祖亚伯拉罕的脚步，效法他在未受割礼时的信心。

我是为了传扬基督耶稣而被囚禁的保罗，与提摩太弟兄写信给我们亲爱的同工腓利门弟兄、

弟兄姊妹，你们的信心使我们在万般困苦和患难中得到了激励。

忠心的同工啊，请你帮助她们二人，因为她们曾与我、革利免和其他同工一起为福音辛劳，这些人的名字都记录在生命册上了。

有关我一切的事情，推基古会告诉你们。他是我亲爱的弟兄，是和我一同事奉主的忠仆。

亚波罗算什么？保罗算什么？我们不过是上帝的仆人，各人照着主所赐的才干引导你们信靠上帝。我栽种，亚波罗灌溉，但使之生长的是上帝。所以栽种的和灌溉的都算不得什么，一切都在于使之生长的上帝。其实栽种的人和浇灌的人目标都一样，各人将按照自己的付出得报酬。因为我们是上帝的同工，你们是上帝的园地和建筑。

因此，你们要记住，从前按照肉体来说你们是外族人，那些肉体上受过人手所行割礼的以色列人称你们为“没有受过割礼的”。

因为有许多悖逆之人喜欢空谈，善于欺骗，尤其是那些奉行割礼的人。

派提摩太去你们那里。他在传扬基督福音的事工上是我们的弟兄、上帝的同工。他去是要鼓励你们，使你们信心坚定，
