應知吾身雖遐、吾神實邇、見爾等之循規蹈矩、實事求是、信仰基督、確乎不拔、而感無限之欣慰焉。

For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how disciplined you are and how firm your faith in Christ is.

So even though I am away from you in body, I am with you in spirit. And I am glad to see that you are controlling yourselves. I am happy that your faith in Christ is so strong.

For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ.

你們要儆醒，要在信仰上站穩，要作大丈夫，要剛強。

我們呢、弟兄們，我們既如喪失父母的孤兒和你們暫時地分離——面目分離，心卻不分離——就越發竭力地想法子、很切願地要見你們的面。

你們要抵擋他，要在信心上堅固，知道世界上跟你們一同信主的弟兄姊妹、也正付着同樣受苦之經驗的代價呢。

就我個人來說，我身體雖不在你們那裏，心靈卻和你們同在。我好像已經在你們那裏，奉我們主耶穌的名判斷幹這樣事的人了。你們聚集的時候，我的心靈、帶着我們主耶穌的權能、也一同聚集，

一切都要端端正正按次序行。

所以我親愛的弟兄們，你們要堅定、不搖動，時常充溢出主的工，因為知道你們的勞苦在主裏面不是空的。

因為我們如果持守起初的確信，堅定不移到末了，我們就成了與分於基督的人了）——

所以你們、親愛的，你們既先知道這些事，就該自己防備，免得被逆天者的謬妄所帶走，而從自己的堅固上墜落了。你們要在我們的主拯救者耶穌基督的恩惠和知識上有長進。願榮耀歸於他，不但在今時、也在永恆之日！

免致像他們祖宗、做頑梗悖逆的一代，做居心不堅定、心對上帝不忠實的一代。

他們的心不堅定的向着他，他們對他的約總不忠實。

如今你們若在主裏站穩，我們就真地活了。

我們所有的這指望就像靈魂之錨，又穩當又堅固，通入幔後的內聖所；

並且還有很多燔祭，連同平安祭牲的脂肪、以及跟燔祭同獻的奠祭須要料理。這樣、永恆主殿中的事務就都整理好了。

若有人餓了，要在家裏喫，免得你們聚攏來、自受定罪。其餘的事、我甚麼時候來了再規定。

他們恆心專務的、是使徒的教訓、是團契捐，是擘餅和禱告。

拿俄米見路得堅決要跟自己去，就停止不對她說甚麼了。

我願意你們知道、我為你們和那些在老底嘉的、跟所有在肉身上沒有見過我面的人、是有多麼大的奮鬥；
