敗諸執政者秉權者、擄掠之而示於眾、賴十字架勝之而凱旋、○

於以解除群魔之武裝、揭其慘敗、而慶聖架之凱旋。

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

He took away the weapons of the powers and authorities. He made a public show of them. He won the battle over them by dying on the cross.

He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.

In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.

Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to Myself.”

And I will make enemies Of you and the woman, And of your offspring and her Descendant; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise Him on the heel.”

Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said,“ It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.

And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

“ Can the prey be taken from a mighty man, Or the captives of a tyrant be rescued?”Indeed, this is what the Lord says:“ Even the captives of the mighty man will be taken away, And the prey of a tyrant will be rescued; For I will contend with the one who contends with you, And I will save your sons.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

It is this Jesus whom God raised up, a fact to which we are all witnesses.Therefore, since He has been exalted at the right hand of God, and has received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, He has poured out this which you both see and hear.For it was not David who ascended into heaven, but he himself says:‘ The Lord said to my Lord,“ Sit at My right hand,Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.” ’Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ— this Jesus whom you crucified.”

and regarding judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

for by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities— all things have been created through Him and for Him.

You have ascended on high, You have led captive Your captives; You have received gifts among people, Even among the rebellious as well, that the Lord God may dwell there.

this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death.But God raised Him from the dead, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.

in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they will not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

But when someone stronger than he attacks him and overpowers him, that man takes away his armor on which he had relied and distributes his plunder.

And he took hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;and he threw him into the abyss and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time.

One of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Him, saying,“ Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!”But the other responded, and rebuking him, said,“ Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our crimes; but this man has done nothing wrong.”And he was saying,“ Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!”And He said to him,“ Truly I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
