When you were baptized, you were buried together with Christ. And you were raised to life together with him when you were baptized. You were raised to life by believing in God’s work. God himself raised Jesus from the dead.

For those of you who were baptized into Christ have been clothed with Christ.

So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love that he had for us,made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!He also raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavens in Christ Jesus,

one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters.Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

But as it is, Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body— whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free— and we were all given one Spirit to drink.

Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same understanding— because the one who suffers in the flesh is finished with sin—in order to live the remaining time in the flesh no longer for human desires, but for God’s will.For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the Gentiles choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry.
