即爾等之領受割禮、亦在基督之中：惟斯割禮非以人手為之、乃克己去欲之基督割禮也。

In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ,

When you received Christ, your circumcision was not done by human hands. Instead, your circumcision was done by Christ. He put away the person you used to be. At that time, sin’s power ruled over you.

In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,

When you came to Christ, you were“ circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision— the cutting away of your sinful nature.

唯有在內心作猶太人的才是猶太人；割禮也是心裡的，是靠著聖靈而不是靠著儀文。這樣的人所受的稱讚，不是從人來的，而是從神來的。

其實我們這些靠神的靈來敬拜，在基督耶穌裡誇口而不倚靠肉體的人，才是受割禮的，

我們知道，我們的舊人已經與基督同釘十字架，使罪身喪失機能，使我們不再作罪的奴僕，

屬基督耶穌的人，是已經把肉體和邪情私慾都釘在十字架上了。

耶和華你的神必把你心裡和你後裔心裡的污穢除掉，要你一心一意愛耶和華你的神，使你可以存活。

就要除去你們那照著從前生活方式而活的舊人。這舊人是隨著迷惑人的私慾漸漸敗壞的。

因為基督不是進了人手所做的聖所（那不過是真聖所的表象），而是進到天上，現在替我們顯露在神的面前。

如果有人在基督裡，他就是新造的人，舊事已經過去，你看，都變成新的了！

所以你們要給你們的心行割禮，不可再頑固。

我已經與基督同釘十字架；現在活著的，不再是我，而是基督活在我裡面；如今在肉身中活著的我，是因信神的兒子而活的；他愛我，為我捨己。

但現在你們要除去忿怒、惱怒、惡毒、毀謗，以及粗言穢語這一切事。不要彼此說謊，因為你們已經脫去了舊人和舊人的行為，

但基督已經來了，作了已經實現的美好事物的大祭司；他經過更大、更完備的會幕（不是人手所做的，也就是不屬於這被造的世界的）。

我們原是神所作成的，是在基督耶穌裡創造的，為的是要我們行各樣的善事，就是神預先所安排的。你們應當記得，你們從前按肉體來說是外族人；那些所謂在肉體上受過人手所行的割禮的人，稱你們為未受割禮的。那時，你們是在基督以外，與以色列國無分，在帶有應許的約上是外人，在世上沒有盼望，沒有神。你們從前遠離的人，現今在基督耶穌裡，靠著他的血已經可以親近了。基督就是我們的和平：他使雙方合而為一，拆毀了隔在中間的牆，就是以自己的身體除掉雙方的仇恨，並且廢掉了律法的規條，使兩者在他裡面成為一個新人，這樣就締造了和平。基督既然藉著十字架消滅了仇恨，就藉著十字架使雙方與神和好，成為一體，並且他來把和平的福音傳給你們在遠處的人，也給在近處的人。我們雙方都藉著他，在同一位聖靈裡，可以進到父面前。

猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪！你們要為了耶和華的緣故自行割禮，除去心裡的污穢；不然，我的忿怒必因你們的惡行，如火一般發出來，無人能熄滅！”

創造宇宙和其中萬有的神，既然是天地的主，就不住在人手所造的殿宇，

我們知道，如果我們在地上的帳棚拆毀了，我們必得著從神而來的居所。那不是人手所造的，而是天上永存的房屋。

但到了時機成熟，神就差遣他的兒子，由女人所生，而且生在律法之下，要把律法之下的人救贖出來，好讓我們得著嗣子的名分。

滿了八天，替孩子行割禮的時候，就給他起名叫耶穌，就是他成胎之前，天使所起的。

其實至高者並不住人手所造的，正如先知說：

“我們聽他說過：‘我要拆毀這座人手所造的聖所，三日之內要另建一座不是人手所造的聖所。’”
