For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh,

我要你们知道，我为你们和老底嘉人，和所有没有与我见过面的人，是何等地勤奋；

我希望你们知道，为了你们和老底嘉人，以及许多从未和我见过面的人，我是怎样努力奋斗的，

我愿意你们知道，我为你们和在老底嘉的人，以及所有没有跟我见过面的人，是怎样竭力奋斗，

我希望你们知道，我为你们和那些在劳迪西亚的人，以及一切没有亲自看到我面的人，有多么大的争战，

我希望你們知道，我為你們和那些在勞迪西亞的人，以及一切沒有親自看到我面的人，有多麼大的爭戰，

蓋我欲爾知、我為爾與在老底嘉、及凡未覿我面者、如何盡力、

我欲爾知我為爾及老底嘉人、與未嘗覿面者、多竭心思、

我願爾知我為爾曹及老底嘉人、與凡未見我面者、如何心切、

爾等應知予為爾等及老底嘉同人之故、且為未曾睹面者之故、如何勞心焦思、而為之努力奮鬥也。予之為此、亦欲有以鼓勵同人之心、

I want you to know how hard I am contending for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me personally.

I want you to know how hard I am working for you. I’m concerned for those who are in Laodicea. I’m also concerned for everyone who has not met me in person.

For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me face to face,

I want you to know how much I have agonized for you and for the church at Laodicea, and for many other believers who have never met me personally.

For I want you to know how greatly I am struggling for you, for those in Laodicea, and for all who have not seen me in person.

For I want you to know how great a struggle I have in your behalf and for those who are at Laodicea, and for all those who have not personally seen my face,

For I would have you know how greatly I strive for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you, for those in Laodicea, and for all who have not seen me in person.

For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and[ for] them at Laodicea, and[ for] as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you, and for those in Laodicea, and for those who have not met me face to face.

For I desire to have you know how greatly I struggle for you, and for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.For I bear him witness that he has a great zeal for you, and those who are in Laodicea, and those in Hierapolis.

having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me.

saying,“ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and,“ What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”

I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,

He took his brother by the heel in the womb, And in his strength he struggled with God.Yes, he struggled with the Angel and prevailed; He wept, and sought favor from Him. He found Him in Bethel, And there He spoke to us—

sorrowing most of all for the words which he spoke, that they would see his face no more. And they accompanied him to the ship.

whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,

My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you,

For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

“ And indeed, now I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more.

But even after we had suffered before and were spitefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much conflict.

“ And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,‘ These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:“ I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.Because you say,‘ I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’— and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.“ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’”

Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day.Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him.And He said,“ Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said,“ I will not let You go unless You bless me!”So He said to him,“ What is your name?” He said,“ Jacob.”And He said,“ Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”Then Jacob asked, saying,“ Tell me Your name, I pray.” And He said,“ Why is it that you ask about My name?” And He blessed him there.So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel:“ For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.”

who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,

Then Rachel said,“ With great wrestlings I have wrestled with my sister, and indeed I have prevailed.” So she called his name Naphtali.

Greet the brethren who are in Laodicea, and Nymphas and the church that is in his house.Now when this epistle is read among you, see that it is read also in the church of the Laodiceans, and that you likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.
