For this reason we also, since the day we heard about it, have not ceased praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

故我儕自聞之之日、為爾祈禱不已、俾爾充諸靈智靈識、洞悉其旨、

我儕聞之、為爾祈禱不輟、願爾感聖神得智慧、備知其旨、

是以我儕自聞之之時、為爾祈禱不已、求主俾爾得諸睿智靈慧、盡知其旨、

吾人逖聽之餘、即不輟為爾祈求、賜爾靈慧妙識、俾能切身體認天主弘旨、臻於圓融洞澈之地；

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,

That’s why we have not stopped praying for you. We have been praying for you since the day we heard about you. We keep asking God to fill you with the knowledge of what he wants. We pray he will give you the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives.

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.

For this reason also, since the day we heard this, we haven’t stopped praying for you. We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, free of hypocrisy.

Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

And this I pray, that your love may overflow still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment,so that you may discover the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and blameless for the day of Christ;having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God.

For such is the will of God, that by doing right you silence the ignorance of foolish people.

equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints,do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers;that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,and what is the boundless greatness of His power toward us who believe. Furthermore, as for me, far be it from me that I would sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you; but I will instruct you in the good and right way.

To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will consider you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power,
