吾人逖聽之餘、即不輟為爾祈求、賜爾靈慧妙識、俾能切身體認天主弘旨、臻於圓融洞澈之地；

因此，我们自从听见的日子，也就为你们不住地祷告祈求，愿你们在一切属灵的智慧悟性上，满心知道神的旨意；

因此，我们自从听见的日子就不住地为你们祷告和祈求，愿你们满有一切属灵的智慧和悟性，真正知道上帝的旨意，

故我儕自聞之之日、為爾祈禱不已、俾爾充諸靈智靈識、洞悉其旨、

是以我儕自聞之之時、為爾祈禱不已、求主俾爾得諸睿智靈慧、盡知其旨、

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,

That’s why we have not stopped praying for you. We have been praying for you since the day we heard about you. We keep asking God to fill you with the knowledge of what he wants. We pray he will give you the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives.

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.

For this reason also, since the day we heard this, we haven’t stopped praying for you. We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,

For this reason we also, since the day we heard about it, have not ceased praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

惟智慧之自上來者、本質純粹、故其為德也、和平雍容、溫柔恭順、富於惻隱、多結善果、而無偏激矯情之弊。

對待外人、務望應時制宜、循循善誘！

若爾中有人智慧不足、則當求之天主、終必如願以償；蓋天主賜人至厚、博愛慈祥、而不事呵叱也。

吾所為心禱者無他、惟望爾之仁愛與日俱進、發為真知卓見、俾識至善之所在、廓然無疑、馴至誠實無妄、心跡雙清、以俟基督來臨之日；同時仰賴耶穌基督滿結仁義之實、以顯揚天主。

蓋天主之意欲爾行善以塞愚夫愚婦悠悠之口。

賜爾才備德全、克行厥旨；並因耶穌基督、玉汝於成、俾有以慰愜天心也。願其享受光榮、永世靡暨、心焉祝之。

因是吾既聞爾對主耶穌之篤信、對眾聖之仁愛、輒為爾感謝天主、不能自已；即於祈禱中、亦拳拳於爾、懇求吾主耶穌基督之天主、光榮之父、賜爾明智、啟爾妙慧、俾爾洞識真主；開爾靈眼、俾明聖召之希望無窮、諸聖光榮嗣業之蘊藏無限、及天主於信徒所施神力之廣大無邊也。蓋此神力、天主實已先施於基督之身、起之於死中、升之於諸天、位之於己右、

爾乃吾主宰。教我遵爾諭。導我以聖神。從容行中矩。

因此吾儕不輟為爾祈禱、求我天主使爾無忝聖召；運其宏能、成爾善志；施其化工、充爾信德：

祈禱無輟；

蓋欲奉行天主之旨而獲所諾、則耐德尚矣。

弗可閹然媚世、希俗取容；務求變化氣質、重建新心。蓋惟如此、方能體驗天主盡善盡美之聖意耳。

因是、吾懇求天地萬族共戴之父、按其無窮之光榮、使爾內心生活、得因其聖神而自強不息、使基督能緣爾之信德、而寓爾心中、使爾於愛德中確立根基、庶能與諸聖共體其奧旨之廣之長之高之深；乃至基督不可思議之仁愛、亦能心領神會；則天主無窮之蘊藏、將沛然充爾之身。

吾儕每為爾等祈禱、未嘗不致謝於吾主耶穌基督之天主聖父也。蓋聞爾等既能堅信基督耶穌、又能熱愛眾聖、

俾基督之道、寓爾五內、使之發榮滋長、蔚為眾慧。以聖詠、聖詩、聖歌、相互淬勵切磋、心歌腹咏、同聲頌美天主。

蓋爾等信而有行、愛而能勞、仰望吾主耶穌基督、確乎不拔、故在天主聖父之前、時切馳思、不能自已、

而人世及其所貪圖者、皆暫而不久、俯仰之間、已為陳跡。惟有遵行天主聖意之人、可大可久、永古長存。

方今普天之下、福音正在結實蕃衍、爾中亦復如是。蓋爾等自聞道以還

吾人之靈心、既飽霑恩澤、於是暢茂條達、發為妙慧卓識、

吾於祈禱中、未嘗不以爾為念、且為致謝天主。

每有所禱、亦必樂為爾等祈求。

爾之同鄉、基督之僕、伊伯弗拉、亦祝爾平安。此君在祈禱中、恆為爾等祈求、使爾等在天主聖意之中、確立不移、廓然無疑、俾成完人。

因此、勿為昏昧之徒、務求明瞭主旨。

戰戰兢兢、表裡如一、毋陽奉陰違、貌合神離、專以取悅於人為務；當如基督之奴僕、一本赤誠、奉行天主之旨、

不復徇人欲、惟循天主聖意、以度餘生。

凡誠心行其聖意者、必能明辯斯道之是否出於天主、抑由予自言也。

亦在隨時體察何以求悅主心而已。

會心大道。師長擊節。

予承祖宗遺風、一秉純潔之心、昭事天主；實天主之洪恩、有以致之；感激之情、充溢五內。予又感謝天主、使予能為汝祈禱、晝夜不輟；每憶汝之熱淚、欣慕之心、油然而生、渴欲與汝相見、用充神樂。

爾等之信德、已為舉世所稱道；此吾之所以亟欲緣基督而致謝於天主也。予一心以其聖子之福音、昭事天主；每於祈禱時、緬懷爾等、不能自已；常求天主賜以坦途、俾得早日就爾；全知天主、實鑒吾誠。

蓋天主之所以寵飾爾等者、實無微不至；賜爾等善於辭令、富於智慧、一切靈賦、應有盡有、

伯鐸祿在獄、教會為之切禱天主。
