我儕聞之、為爾祈禱不輟、願爾感聖神得智慧、備知其旨、

是以我儕自聞之之時、為爾祈禱不已、求主俾爾得諸睿智靈慧、盡知其旨、

吾人逖聽之餘、即不輟為爾祈求、賜爾靈慧妙識、俾能切身體認天主弘旨、臻於圓融洞澈之地；

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,

That’s why we have not stopped praying for you. We have been praying for you since the day we heard about you. We keep asking God to fill you with the knowledge of what he wants. We pray he will give you the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives.

惟自上之智、則首貞潔、次和平、溫良、柔順、充以矜恤與善果、無貳無偽、

爾於外人、當以智而行、光陰是惜、

爾中若有缺於智者、當求上帝、彼博施於眾、不責乎人、必賜之焉、

我所祈者、使爾愛於知識通達而愈充溢、致能驗至善、純粹無疵、迄於基督之日、充以義之實、由耶穌基督、致榮與頌歸於上帝、○

蓋上帝之旨、欲以善行杜愚人無知之口、

俾爾備乎諸善、以行其旨、且於我衷成其所悅者、願榮歸之、爰及世世、阿們、○

故我聞爾於主耶穌之信、向諸聖徒之愛、則為爾感謝不已、祈禱時常念及爾、俾我主耶穌基督之上帝、有榮之父、賜爾明智與啟示之靈、以識上帝、心目克明、俾知爾蒙其召所望何如、彼於諸聖徒之業、其榮之豐富何如、且於我諸信者、其能之浩大何如、乃依其能力運行於基督中、即起之於死、使坐其右於天、

若我、決不止息為爾祈禱、而獲罪於耶和華、必以善道正途訓爾、

爾為我上帝、尚其訓我以行爾志、爾靈乃善、祈導我於安平之地兮、

故我恆為爾祈禱、俾我上帝鑒爾、克稱其召、以能而成爾由善諸願、由信諸工、

祈禱不輟、

爾須忍、致爾既行上帝旨、則得其所許、

勿同世態、惟以心之更新而變化、致驗上帝旨、乃善而可悅、且純全者也、○

緣此、我屈膝於父前、即在天在地諸家所由得名者、求依其榮之富有、俾由厥神、以其能而剛健乃衷、致基督因信而居爾心、使爾根基於愛、得與諸聖徒克識其長闊高深、且知基督莫測之愛、得乎上帝所充者而充焉、○

我儕恆為爾祈禱、謝上帝我主耶穌基督之父、蓋聞爾於基督耶穌之信、及向諸聖徒之愛、

當以基督之道充實爾衷、智慧俱備、以詩、以歌、以靈賦、相教相戒、中心感恩、以頌上帝、

於我父上帝前、恆念爾以信而行、以愛而勞、以望我主耶穌基督而忍、

且世漸逝、其慾亦然、惟行上帝旨者永存、○

此已及爾、亦猶徧及天下、結實而增益、與在爾中無異、自爾聞之之日、而誠知上帝恩也、

此恩乃上帝以諸智諸識溢於我者、

我恆謝我上帝、於祈禱間念及爾、

為爾眾祈時、恆欣然而求、

爾之同儕、基督耶穌之僕以巴弗、問爾安、彼恆為爾竭力祈禱、使爾樹立成全、得悉上帝之旨、

勿為愚、務悉主旨、

勿第以目前服役、若取悅於人者、惟如基督之僕、由心而行上帝之旨、

俾不再循人慾、惟循上帝之旨、以度餘年、

人願行其旨、必知斯訓、或由上帝、或我由己而言矣、

宜審主之所悅、

我之明哲、越於諸師、以我思爾法度兮、

我謝自我祖以清潔之良、崇事之上帝、於祈禱間、念爾不輟、憶爾之涕泗、晝夜企慕見爾、以充我樂、

首焉者、我賴耶穌基督、為爾眾謝我上帝、因爾之信舉世宣揚、蓋上帝、即我於其子之福音、以心神所崇事者、證我常言及爾、祈禱間、所恆求者、庶依上帝旨、終得坦途就爾、

俾爾於基督中萬事富有、才辯知識俱優、
