故我儕自聞之之日、為爾祈禱不已、俾爾充諸靈智靈識、洞悉其旨、

我儕聞之、為爾祈禱不輟、願爾感聖神得智慧、備知其旨、

是以我儕自聞之之時、為爾祈禱不已、求主俾爾得諸睿智靈慧、盡知其旨、

吾人逖聽之餘、即不輟為爾祈求、賜爾靈慧妙識、俾能切身體認天主弘旨、臻於圓融洞澈之地；

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,

That’s why we have not stopped praying for you. We have been praying for you since the day we heard about you. We keep asking God to fill you with the knowledge of what he wants. We pray he will give you the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives.

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.

For this reason also, since the day we heard this, we haven’t stopped praying for you. We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,

但從天上來的智慧首先是純潔，然後是愛好和平、溫良柔順、充滿憐憫、多結善果、不存偏見、沒有虛偽。

你們要把握時機，運用智慧和非信徒交往。

如果你們誰缺少智慧，就當求慷慨施恩、不責備人的上帝，上帝必賜給他智慧。

我所祈求的就是：你們的愛心隨著屬靈知識的增加和辨別力的提高而日益增長，使你們知道怎樣擇善而從，做誠實無過的人，一直到基督再來的日子，並靠著耶穌基督結滿仁義的果子，使上帝得到榮耀與頌讚。

因為上帝的旨意是要你們行善，使那些愚昧無知的人啞口無言。

在各樣善事上成全你們，好使你們遵行祂的旨意，並藉著主耶穌在你們心中動工，使你們做祂喜悅的事！願榮耀歸給上帝，直到永永遠遠。阿們！

我聽到你們對主耶穌的信心和對眾聖徒的愛心後，不斷地為你們感謝上帝，禱告的時候常常提到你們。我求我們主耶穌基督的上帝——榮耀的父把賜智慧和啟示的靈給你們，好使你們更深地認識祂。我也求上帝照亮你們心中的眼睛，使你們知道祂的呼召給你們帶來了何等的盼望，祂應許賜給眾聖徒的產業有何等豐富的榮耀，並且祂在我們這些信的人身上所運行的能力是何等浩大。上帝曾用這大能使基督從死裡復活，使基督在天上坐在自己右邊，

至於我，我會不斷地為你們祈禱，免得我得罪耶和華。我會教導你們行善道、走正路。

求你教導我遵行你的旨意，因為你是我的上帝，願你良善的靈引導我走平坦的路。

因此，我們常常為你們禱告，願我們的上帝看你們配得祂的呼召，用大能成全你們一切美好的心願和憑信心所做的工作。

不斷地禱告，

你們需要堅忍到底，這樣你們遵行了上帝的旨意後，便可以得到祂的應許。

你們不可追隨世界的潮流，要隨著思想的不斷更新而改變，這樣就能明辨上帝的旨意，知道什麼是良善、純全、蒙祂悅納的。

為此，我跪在天地萬物的本源——天父面前，

我們聽說了你們對基督耶穌的信心和對眾聖徒的愛心，為你們禱告的時候，常常感謝我們主耶穌基督的父上帝。

要將基督的話豐豐富富地存在心裡，用各樣智慧彼此教導，互相勸誡，以感恩的心用詩篇、聖樂、靈歌頌讚上帝。

在我們的父上帝面前不斷地想到你們因信我們主耶穌基督而做的工作、因愛祂而受的勞苦和因祂所賜的盼望而激發的忍耐。

這世界和其中一切的私慾都要過去，但遵守上帝旨意的人永遠長存。

這福音不但傳到了你們那裡，也傳到了世界各地，並且開花結果，信主的人數不斷增長，正如你們當初聽了福音，因為明白真理而認識上帝的恩典後的情形。

上帝用各種智慧和聰明把這恩典豐豐富富地賜給我們，

腓利門弟兄，我常常在禱告中為你感謝上帝，

每次為你們眾人禱告的時候，我心裡都很喜樂。

來自你們那裡、作基督耶穌奴僕的以巴弗弟兄問候你們。他常常懇切地為你們禱告，好使你們信心堅定，生命成熟，深知上帝一切的旨意。

所以，不要做糊塗人，要明白主的旨意。

不要只做一些討好人的表面工夫，要像基督的奴僕一樣從心裡遵行上帝的旨意。

可以在今後的生活中不再隨從人的私慾，只服從上帝的旨意。

如果你們願意遵行上帝的旨意，就能分辨這些教導是出於上帝，還是出於我自己。

你們要察驗什麼是主所喜悅的事，

我比我的老師更有洞見，因為我思想你的法度。

我日夜不停地為你禱告，對我效法祖先用清潔的良心事奉的上帝充滿了感恩。每逢想起你流淚的情形，我就渴望見你，好使我的心充滿喜樂。

首先，我藉著耶穌基督為各位感謝我的上帝，因為你們的信心正在傳遍天下。我在祂兒子的福音事工上全心事奉的上帝可以為我做見證：我如何在禱告中常常想到你們，並求上帝讓我照祂的旨意最終能去你們那裡。

使你們在基督裡凡事富足，有全備的口才和知識。

彼得被囚期間，教會都迫切地為他向上帝禱告。
