Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am supplementing what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions in behalf of His body, which is the church.

Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.

I am happy because of what I am suffering for you. My suffering joins with and continues the sufferings of Christ. I suffer for his body, which is the church.

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church,

I am glad when I suffer for you in my body, for I am participating in the sufferings of Christ that continue for his body, the church.

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I am completing in my flesh what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for his body, that is, the church.

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the assembly,

And not only this, but we also celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance;

Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me His prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God,

My confidence in you is great; my boasting in your behalf is great. I am filled with comfort; I am overflowing with joy in all our affliction.

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;

For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; or if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which is effective in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer;and our hope for you is firmly grounded, knowing that as you are partners in our sufferings, so also you are in our comfort.For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, of our affliction which occurred in Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life.

He is also the head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.

Therefore I ask you not to become discouraged about my tribulations in your behalf, since they are your glory.

for which I suffer hardship even to imprisonment as a criminal; but the word of God is not imprisoned.For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory.

Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials,

“ Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in this same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

So they went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name.

But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.You too, I urge you, rejoice in the same way and share your joy with me.

For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—

Are they servants of Christ?— I am speaking as if insane— I more so; in far more labors, in far more imprisonments, beaten times without number, often in danger of death.Five times I received from the Jews thirty nine lashes.Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent adrift at sea.I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my countrymen, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers at sea, dangers among false brothers;I have been in labor and hardship, through many sleepless nights, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure.

we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing;persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed;always carrying around in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.For we who live are constantly being handed over to death because of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our mortal flesh.So death works in us, but life in you.

which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
