萬有皆本乎基督而受造焉；無論在天、在地、有形無形之物、以及一切爵位權德諸品天神、未有不因基督、為基督、而受造者也。

因为万有都是靠他造的，无论是天上的，地上的；能看见的，不能看见的；或是有位的，主治的，执政的，掌权的；一概都是藉着他造的，又是为他造的。

因为万有都是在他里面造的，无论是天上的、地上的，能看见的、不能看见的，或是有权位的、统治的，或是执政的、掌权的，一概都是藉着他为着他造的。

蓋萬有本之而造、在天在地、有形無形、或位或權、或執政者、或有能者、皆由之而造、且歸之焉、

萬物以之而造、不論在天在地、有形無形、有位執政權力者、皆以之造、而歸向之、

蓋萬物藉之而造、無論在天在地、有形無形、有位者、主治者、執政者、秉權者、皆藉彼而造、亦為彼而造、

For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

萬物之所本、萬物之所倚、萬物之所歸、惟主而已。伏願光榮歸之、奕世靡暨、心焉祝之。

微道無物。物因道生。天地萬有。資道以成。

而在吾人、則惟有一『神、』即萬物所自、吾人所歸之聖父是已；惟有一主、即萬物所藉以生、吾人所藉以歸之耶穌基督是已。

預定聖謨；時既成熟、乃予以實現、俾天地萬有、在基督之身、合為一體、而統於一尊。

夫天主乃萬物之所歸、萬物之所始也；既欲藉其聖子、以登其眾子於光榮之域、則其以憂戚苦難磨練眾子之救主、以玉之於成、不亦宜乎？

值茲末世、乃遣其聖子以曉諭吾人。聖子者、天主所立為承受萬有之嗣、所憑以締造宇宙之道、

又曰：『地基爾所立、諸天爾所作；天地終銷毀、惟爾長卓卓；乾坤乃爾衣、衣敝換新服；萬物有變化、惟爾無今昨。』

夫基督者、乃無形天主之肖像、而造化之乾元也。

彼乃一切爵品權品天神之元首也。爾等惟體基督乃臻充實之美。

蓋此神力、天主實已先施於基督之身、起之於死中、升之於諸天、位之於己右、超軼乎一切爵、權、德、統、諸品天神、及今世來世一切可名之名之上。

於以解除群魔之武裝、揭其慘敗、而慶聖架之凱旋。

使舉世之人、咸得領會造物主自始隱藏之救世玄謨。不惟世人、即天上之爵權諸品天神、亦有賴於教會、始得窺見天主神妙不測之智慧，

長跪白我主。盛年莫見折。我主壽無量。豈靳此一勺。我主立地基。親手設天幕。天地終消毀。惟主長卓卓。乾坤乃主衣。衣敝換新服。

而耶穌之貴於摩西亦猶建造第宅者之貴於第宅。蓋建造第宅者、人也、而建造宇宙萬有者、天主也。

而天地萬物、皆藉基督咸得與天主重相契合、而歸於太和；而其所以致此太和者、則十字架上所流之寶血耳。

又聞天上、人間、地下、海中一切眾生、同聲而呼曰：「願寶座之主及羔羊受享一切靈祉、一切尊榮、一切權能、永世靡暨！」四靈物應曰：「心焉祝之。」諸老俯伏而頂禮焉。

基督今已昇天、位於天主右、一切天神及權德諸品、莫不翕然順服、統於一尊。

使天上人間乃至地下一切生靈、莫不聞其名而屈膝、

蓋吾深信無論死也、生也、天神也、權威也、現在之事也、未來之事也、宇宙間之一切勢力也、

蓋吾人之對敵、非區區血氣之屬、乃諸品惡神、黑暗世界之權威領袖以及充塞雲霄之眾魔也。
