he builds his lofty palace in the heavens and sets its foundation on the earth; he calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the land— the Lord is his name.

The Lord builds his palace high in the heavens. He lays its foundation on the earth. He sends for the waters in the clouds. Then he pours them out on the surface of the land. His name is the Lord.

在水中立楼阁的栋梁，用云彩为车辇，藉着风的翅膀而行，

那造昴星和参星，使死荫变为晨光，使白昼变为黑夜，召唤海水、使其倾倒在地面上的，耶和华是他的名。

看哪，那创山，造风，将其心意指示人，使晨光变幽暗，踩行在地之高处的，他的名是耶和华—万军之上帝。

他从楼阁中浇灌山岭；因他作为的功效，地就丰足。

天和地，以及万象都完成了。

将地立在根基上，使地永不动摇。你用深水遮盖地面，犹如衣裳；诸水高过山岭。

上帝对摩西说：“我是自有永有的”；又说：“你要对以色列人这样说：‘那自有永有的差派我到你们这里来。’”上帝又对摩西说：“你要对以色列人这样说：‘耶和华—你们祖宗的上帝，就是亚伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝，雅各的上帝差派我到你们这里来。’这是我的名，直到永远；这也是我的称号，直到万代。

你们难道不惧怕我吗？在我面前还不战兢吗？这是耶和华说的。我以沙为海的界限，作永远的条例，使它不得越过。波浪汹涌，却不能胜过；怒涛澎湃，仍无法越过。

挪亚六百岁那一年的二月十七日，就在那一天，大深渊的泉源都裂开，天上的窗户也敞开了，四十昼夜有大雨降在地上。正在那日，挪亚和他的儿子闪、含、雅弗，以及挪亚的妻子和三个媳妇，都一同进入方舟。他们和一切走兽，各从其类；一切牲畜，各从其类；地上爬的一切爬行动物，各从其类；一切的鸟，就是一切有翅膀的飞禽，各从其类；凡有生命气息的血肉之躯，都一对一对到挪亚那里，进入方舟。凡有血肉的，都一公一母进入方舟，正如上帝所吩咐挪亚的。耶和华就把他关在方舟里。洪水在地上泛滥四十天，水往上涨，使方舟浮起，方舟就从地上漂起来。水势汹涌，在地上大大上涨，方舟在水面上漂荡。水势在地上极其浩大，普天下所有的高山都淹没了。
