The One who builds His upper chambers in the heavens And has founded His vaulted dome over the earth, He who calls for the waters of the sea And pours them out on the face of the earth, The Lord is His name.

he builds his lofty palace in the heavens and sets its foundation on the earth; he calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the land— the Lord is his name.

The Lord builds his palace high in the heavens. He lays its foundation on the earth. He sends for the waters in the clouds. Then he pours them out on the surface of the land. His name is the Lord.

For behold, He who forms mountains and creates the wind, And declares to a person what are His thoughts, He who makes dawn into darkness And treads on the high places of the earth, The Lord God of armies is His name.

He waters the mountains from His upper chambers; The earth is satisfied with the fruit of His works.

And so the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their heavenly lights.

He established the earth upon its foundations, So that it will not totter forever and ever.You covered it with the deep sea as with a garment; The waters were standing above the mountains.

Do you not fear Me?’ declares the Lord.‘ Do you not tremble in My presence? For I have placed the sand as a boundary for the sea, An eternal limit, and it will not cross over it. Though the waves toss, they cannot prevail; Though they roar, they will not cross over it.

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened.The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.On this very same day Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark,they and every animal according to its kind, and all the livestock according to their kind, and every crawling thing that crawls on the earth according to its kind, and every bird according to its kind, all sorts of birds.So they went into the ark to Noah, by twos of all flesh in which there was the breath of life.Those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered as God had commanded him; and the Lord closed the door behind him.Then the flood came upon the earth for forty days, and the water increased and lifted up the ark, so that it rose above the earth.The water prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.And the water prevailed more and more upon the earth, so that all the high mountains everywhere under the heavens were covered.
