但愿以色列的救恩从锡安而出；神给他子民带来复兴的时候（“神给他子民带来复兴的时候”或译：“神把他被掳的子民带回来的时候”），雅各要快乐，以色列要欢喜。

我先前怎样留意把他们拔出、拆毁、倾覆、毁灭和降灾；将来我也必照样留意把他们建立和栽种起来。”这是耶和华的宣告。

“看哪！到了那些日子，在那个时期，我使犹大和耶路撒冷被掳的人归回，（本节在《马索拉文本》为4:1）我必招聚列国，领他们下到约沙法谷，为了我的子民，就是我的产业以色列，我要在那里亲临审判他们，因为他们把我的子民分散在列国中，又分取了我的地土。

“看哪！日子快到（这是耶和华的宣告），这城从哈楠业城楼直到角门，必为耶和华重建起来。量度的准绳还要往外量，直到迦立山，绕到歌亚。抛尸和倒灰的整个山谷，以及从汲沦溪直到东边马门拐角一带所有的墓地，都必归耶和华为圣，永远不再拔出，不再倾覆。”

耶和华指着自己的右手和他大能的膀臂起誓，说：“我必不再把你的五谷给你的仇敌作食物，外族人也必不再喝你劳碌所得的新酒；唯有那些收割的人可以吃五谷，并且赞美耶和华；那些收集的人可以在我圣所的院子里喝新酒。”

他们必住在我所赐给我仆人雅各的地上，就是你们列祖所住的地。他们和他们的子孙，以及子孙的子孙，都必永远住在那里；我的仆人大卫必永远作他们的领袖。我要与他们立平安的约，是一个永远的约；我必坚立他们，使他们人数增多，又在他们中间设立我的圣所，直到永远。我的居所必在他们当中；我要作他们的神，他们要作我的子民。我的圣所必永远在他们中间，列国就知道我是耶和华，是我使以色列成圣的。’”

“‘我要使所多玛和她的女儿们，撒玛利亚和她的女儿们从苦境中转回，我也要使你们跟她们一起转回，

万军之耶和华以色列的神这样说：“我使被掳的人归回的时候，他们在犹大地，在犹大的城镇里，必再说这样的话：‘公义的居所啊，圣山哪，愿耶和华赐福给你！’

“‘主耶和华这样说：我洁净你们，使你们脱离一切罪孽的日子，我必使城市有人居住，废墟可以重建。从前所有路过的人都看为荒凉之地，现在却必再可以耕种。他们必说：“先前这荒凉之地，现在竟像伊甸园一样；这些废弃、荒凉、毁坏了的城市，现在却成了坚固城，有人居住了。”那时，在你们四围所余剩的列国，就必知道我是耶和华，是我重建了那些毁坏的地方，栽植了那些荒凉之地。我耶和华说了，就必实行。

“因此，主耶和华这样说：现在我要使雅各被掳的归回；我要怜悯以色列全家，又为我的圣名大发热心。

他们的财宝必成为掠物，他们的房屋必变为废墟。他们建造房屋，却不得住在其中；他们栽植葡萄园，却不得喝所出的酒。”

你们欺压穷人，强征他们的五谷；因此，你们用琢磨过的石头建造房屋，却不能住在其中；你们栽种美好的葡萄园，却不能喝园中的酒。
