All the sinners among my people will die by the sword– the ones who say,‘ Disaster will not come near, it will not confront us.’

All the sinners among my people will die by the sword, all those who say,‘ Disaster will not overtake or meet us.’

All the sinners among my people will be killed by swords. They say,‘ Nothing bad will ever happen to us.’

All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, who say,‘ Disaster shall not overtake or meet us.’

But all the sinners will die by the sword— all those who say,‘ Nothing bad will happen to us.’

All the sinners among my people who say,“ Disaster will never overtake or confront us,” will die by the sword.

All the sinners of My people will die by the sword, Those who say,‘ The catastrophe will not overtake or confront us.’

All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword, Who say,‘ The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.’

All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, who say, The evil shall not overtake nor meet us.

All the sinners among My people who say:“ Disaster will never overtake or confront us,” will die by the sword.

All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.

All the sinners of my people will die by the sword, who say,‘ Evil won’t overtake nor meet us.’

You refuse to believe a day of disaster will come, but you establish a reign of violence.

Sinners are afraid in Zion; panic grips the godless. They say,‘ Who among us can coexist with destructive fire? Who among us can coexist with unquenchable fire?’

Even now the ax is laid at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.“ I baptize you with water, for repentance, but the one coming after me is more powerful than I am– I am not worthy to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clean out his threshing floor and will gather his wheat into the storehouse, but the chaff he will burn up with inextinguishable fire.”

It will be this way at the end of the age. Angels will come and separate the evil from the righteousand throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

He says to himself,“ God overlooks it; he does not pay attention; he never notices.”

Woe to those who live in ease in Zion, to those who feel secure on Mount Samaria. They think of themselves as the elite class of the best nation. The family of Israel looks to them for leadership.

I will seek the lost and bring back the strays; I will bandage the injured and strengthen the sick, but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them– with judgment!“‘ As for you, my sheep, this is what the sovereign LORD says: Look, I am about to judge between one sheep and another, between rams and goats.

( 3: 19)“ For indeed the day is coming, burning like a furnace, and all the arrogant evildoers will be chaff. The coming day will burn them up,” says the LORD who rules over all.“ It will not leave even a root or branch.

I will eliminate from among you the rebels and those who revolt against me. I will bring them out from the land where they have been residing, but they will not come to the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

So now we consider the arrogant to be happy; indeed, those who practice evil are successful. In fact, those who challenge God escape!’”

Each one says,‘ Come on, I’ll get some wine! Let’s guzzle some beer! Tomorrow will be just like today! We’ll have everything we want!’

Then some people said,“ Come on! Let us consider how to deal with Jeremiah! There will still be priests to instruct us, wise men to give us advice, and prophets to declare God’s word. Come on! Let’s bring charges against him and get rid of him! Then we will not need to pay attention to anything he says.”

They say,“ Let him hurry, let him act quickly, so we can see; let the plan of the Holy One of Israel take shape and come to pass, then we will know it!”

When a sentence is not executed at once against a crime, the human heart is encouraged to do evil.

The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather from his kingdom everything that causes sin as well as all lawbreakers.They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

In that day you will not be ashamed of all your rebelliousness against me, for then I will remove from your midst those who proudly boast, and you will never again be arrogant on my holy hill.I will leave in your midst a humble and meek group of people, and they will find safety in the LORD’s presence.The Israelites who remain will not act deceitfully. They will not lie, and a deceitful tongue will not be found in their mouth. Indeed, they will graze peacefully like sheep and lie down; no one will terrify them.”

Therefore, listen to the LORD’s word, you who mock, you rulers of these people who reside in Jerusalem!For you say,“ We have made a treaty with death, with Sheol we have made an agreement. When the overwhelming judgment sweeps by it will not reach us. For we have made a lie our refuge, we have hidden ourselves in a deceitful word.”

It will happen in all the land, says the LORD, that two-thirds of the people in it will be cut off and die, but one-third will be left in it.Then I will bring the remaining third into the fire; I will refine them like silver is refined and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name and I will answer; I will say,‘ These are my people,’ and they will say,‘ The LORD is my God.’”

Who can endure the day of his coming? Who can keep standing when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire, like a launderer’s soap.He will act like a refiner and purifier of silver and will cleanse the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then they will offer the LORD a proper offering.The offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the LORD as in former times and years past.“ I will come to you in judgment. I will be quick to testify against those who practice divination, those who commit adultery, those who break promises, and those who exploit workers, widows, and orphans, who refuse to help the immigrant and in this way show they do not fear me,” says the LORD who rules over all.
