All the sinners of My people will die by the sword, Those who say,‘ The catastrophe will not overtake or confront us.’

我民中的一切罪人说：‘灾祸必追不上我们，也迎不着我们。’他们必死在刀下。”

我子民中所有的罪人，就是那些说‘灾祸必不靠近，必不追上我们’的，都必死在刀下。”

All the sinners among my people will die by the sword, all those who say,‘ Disaster will not overtake or meet us.’

All the sinners among my people will be killed by swords. They say,‘ Nothing bad will ever happen to us.’

All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, who say,‘ Disaster shall not overtake or meet us.’

But all the sinners will die by the sword— all those who say,‘ Nothing bad will happen to us.’

All the sinners among my people who say,“ Disaster will never overtake or confront us,” will die by the sword.

All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword, Who say,‘ The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.’

All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, who say, The evil shall not overtake nor meet us.

All the sinners among My people who say:“ Disaster will never overtake or confront us,” will die by the sword.

All the sinners among my people will die by the sword– the ones who say,‘ Disaster will not come near, it will not confront us.’

Are you postponing the day of disaster, And would you bring near the seat of violence?

Sinners in Zion are terrified; Trembling has seized the godless.“ Who among us can live with the consuming fire? Who among us can live with everlasting burning?”

And the axe is already laid at the root of the trees; therefore, every tree that does not bear good fruit is being cut down and thrown into the fire.“ As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

So it will be at the end of the age: the angels will come forth and remove the wicked from among the righteous,and they will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

He says to himself,“ God has forgotten; He has hidden His face; He will never see it.”

Woe to those who are carefree in Zion, And to those who feel secure on the mountain of Samaria, The dignitaries of the foremost of nations, To whom the house of Israel comes.

“ I will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bind up the broken, and strengthen the sick; but the fat and the strong I will eliminate. I will feed them with judgment.“ As for you, My flock, this is what the Lord God says:‘ Behold, I am going to judge between one sheep and another, between the rams and the male goats.

“ For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them ablaze,” says the Lord of armies,“ so that it will leave them neither root nor branches.

and I will purge from you the rebels and those who revolt against Me; I will bring them out of the land where they reside, but they will not enter the land of Israel. So you will know that I am the Lord.

So now we call the arrogant blessed; not only are the doers of wickedness built up, but they also put God to the test and escape punishment.’ ”

“ Come,” they say,“ let’s get wine, and let’s drink heavily of intoxicating drink; And tomorrow will be like today, only more so.”

Then they said,“ Come and let’s devise plans against Jeremiah. Certainly the Law is not going to be lost by the priest, nor advice by the wise, nor the divine word by the prophet! Come, and let’s strike at him with our tongue, and let’s pay no attention to any of his words.”

Who say,“ Let Him hurry, let Him do His work quickly, so that we may see it; And let the plan of the Holy One of Israel approach And come to pass, so that we may know it!”

Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of mankind among them are fully given to do evil.

The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness,and they will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

On that day you will feel no shame Because of all your deeds By which you have rebelled against Me; For then I will remove from your midst Your proud, arrogant ones, And you will never again be haughty On My holy mountain.But I will leave among you A humble and lowly people, And they will take refuge in the name of the Lord.The remnant of Israel will do no wrong And tell no lies, Nor will a deceitful tongue Be found in their mouths; For they will feed and lie down With no one to frighten them.”

Therefore, hear the word of the Lord, you scoffers, Who rule this people who are in Jerusalem,Because you have said,“ We have made a covenant with death, And with Sheol we have made a pact. The gushing flood will not reach us when it passes by, Because we have made falsehood our refuge and we have concealed ourselves with deception.”

And it will come about in all the land,” Declares the Lord,“ That two parts in it will be cut off and perish; But the third will be left in it.And I will bring the third part through the fire, Refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them; I will say,‘ They are My people,’ And they will say,‘ The Lord is my God.’ ”

“ But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire, and like launderer’s soap.And He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the Lord offerings in righteousness.Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord as in the days of old, and as in former years.“ Then I will come near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, those who oppress the wage earner in his wages or the widow or the orphan, and those who turn away the stranger from justice and do not fear Me,” says the Lord of armies.
