以銀購窮乏、以屨易貧民、以劣麥出售、

以金市窮民、以履易貧者、以朽穀鬻於人。

buying the poor with silver and the needy for a pair of sandals, selling even the sweepings with the wheat.

You buy poor people to make slaves out of them. You buy those who are in need for a mere pair of sandals. You even sell the worthless parts of your wheat.

And you mix the grain you sell with chaff swept from the floor. Then you enslave poor people for one piece of silver or a pair of sandals.

So as to buy the helpless for money, And the needy for a pair of sandals, And that we may sell the refuse of the wheat?”

耶和華如此說：「以色列三番四次犯罪，為銀子賣了義人，為一雙鞋賣了窮人，我必不撤銷對它的懲罰。

並將猶大人和耶路撒冷人賣給希臘人，使他們遠離自己的疆界。

「你的弟兄在你那裏若漸漸貧窮，將自己賣給你，你不可叫他像奴僕服事你。他在你那裏要像雇工和寄居的，服事你直到禧年。他和他兒女要離開你，一同出去，歸回自己的家，回到他祖宗的地業去。因為他們是我的僕人，是我從埃及地領出來的。他們不可被賣為奴僕。

我對他們說：「我們已盡力贖回我們的弟兄，就是賣到列國的猶太人；你們還要賣弟兄，讓我們去買回來嗎？」他們就靜默不語，無話可答。

百姓和他們的妻子大大呼號，埋怨他們的弟兄猶太人。有的說：「我們和兒女人口眾多，必須得糧食吃，才能活下去。」有的說：「我們典押了田地、葡萄園、房屋，才得糧食充飢。」有的說：「我們借了錢付田地和葡萄園的稅給王。現在，我們的身體與我們弟兄的身體是一樣的，我們的兒女與他們的兒女沒有差別。看哪，我們卻要迫使兒女作人的奴婢。我們有些女兒已被搶走了，我們卻無能為力，因為我們的田地和葡萄園已經歸了別人。」

為我的百姓抽籤，以男孩換取妓女，為喝酒賣掉女孩。

你們這些踐踏貧窮人、使這地困苦人衰敗的，當聽這話！
