他正要充满肚腹的时候，神必将猛烈的忿怒降在他身上；正在他吃饭的时候，要将这忿怒像雨降在他身上。

守节的时候，你和你儿女、仆婢，并住在你城里的利未人，以及寄居的与孤儿寡妇，都要欢乐。

他们饮酒，赞美金、银、铜、铁、木、石所造的神。当时，忽有人的指头显出，在王宫与灯台相对的粉墙上写字。王看见写字的指头就变了脸色，心意惊惶，腰骨好像脱节，双膝彼此相碰，

愿黑暗和死荫索取那日；愿密云停在其上；愿日蚀恐吓它。

所以，我满腰疼痛；痛苦将我抓住，好像产难的妇人一样。我疼痛甚至不能听；我惊惶甚至不能看。我心慌张，惊恐威吓我。我所羡慕的黄昏，变为我的战兢。

你们像丛杂的荆棘，像喝醉了的人，又如枯干的碎秸全然烧灭。

他们必为你放声痛哭，把尘土撒在头上，在灰中打滚；又为你使头上光秃，用麻布束腰，号啕痛哭，苦苦悲哀。

亚比该到拿八那里，见他在家里设摆筵席，如同王的筵席；拿八快乐大醉。亚比该无论大小事都没有告诉他，就等到次日早晨。到了早晨，拿八醒了酒，他的妻将这些事都告诉他，他就魂不附体，身僵如石头一般。过了十天，耶和华击打拿八，他就死了。

押沙龙吩咐仆人说：“你们注意，看暗嫩饮酒畅快的时候，我对你们说杀暗嫩，你们便杀他，不要惧怕。这不是我吩咐你们的吗？你们只管壮胆奋勇！”押沙龙的仆人就照押沙龙所吩咐的，向暗嫩行了。王的众子都起来，各人骑上骡子，逃跑了。他们还在路上，有风声传到大卫那里，说：“押沙龙将王的众子都杀了，没有留下一个。”王就起来，撕裂衣服，躺在地上。王的臣仆也都撕裂衣服，站在旁边。

要使你们歌唱的声音远离我，因为我不听你们弹琴的响声。
