耶和華對我說：“阿摩司，你看見甚麼？”我回答：“我看見準繩。”主又說：“看哪！我把準繩放在我民以色列中間，必不再放過他們。

耶和华对我说：“阿摩司啊，你看见什么？”我说：“看见准绳。”主说：“我要吊起准绳在我民以色列中，我必不再宽恕他们。

永恆主對我說：『阿摩司啊，你看見甚麼？』我說：『準繩。』主就說：『看吧，我必吊起準繩在我人民以色列中間；我必不再把他們放過去。

And the Lord asked me,“ What do you see, Amos?”“ A plumb line,” I replied. Then the Lord said,“ Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.

And the Lord said to me,“ Amos, what do you see?” And I said,“ A plumb line.” Then the Lord said,“ Behold, I am setting a plumb line in the midst of my people Israel; I will never again pass by them;

And the Lord said to me,“ Amos, what do you see?” I answered,“ A plumb line.” And the Lord replied,“ I will test my people with this plumb line. I will no longer ignore all their sins.

The LORD asked me,“ What do you see, Amos?” I replied,“ A plumb line.” Then the Lord said,“ I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will no longer spare them:

And Jehovah said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumb- line. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumb- line in the midst of my people Israel; I will not again pass by them any more;

The LORD said to me,“ What do you see, Amos?” I said,“ Tin.” The sovereign One then said,“ Look, I am about to place tin among my people Israel. I will no longer overlook their sin.

Yahweh said to me,“ Amos, what do you see?” I said,“ A plumb line.” Then the Lord said,“ Behold, I will set a plumb line in the middle of my people Israel. I will not again pass by them any more.

耶和華說：“阿摩司，你看見甚麼？”我回答：“一籃夏天的果子。”他跟著對我說：“我民以色列的結局到了，我不再放過他們。

耶和華定意要拆毀錫安居民（“居民”原文作“女子”）的城牆；他拉了準繩，決不停手，務要把它吞滅。他使堡壘和城牆都悲哀，一同受痛苦。

“人子啊！主耶和華對以色列地這樣說：‘終局到了！終局臨到這地的四境了！現在終局已經臨到你了。我要發怒攻擊你，按著你的行為審判你，照著你一切可憎的事報應你。我的眼必不顧惜你，我也不憐恤你，我卻要按著你的行為，照著你中間可憎的事報應你，你們就知道我是耶和華。’主耶和華這樣說：‘看哪，災禍，獨特的災禍，臨到了！終局到了，終局臨到了，它已經起來跟你作對。看哪，它臨到了！這地的居民哪，災害臨到你了！時候到了，日子近了，是混亂喧嚷的日子，不是山上歡呼的日子。現在我快要把我的烈怒倒在你身上，向你完全發盡我的怒氣。我要按著你的行為審判你，照著你一切可憎的事報應你。我的眼必不顧惜，我也不憐恤。我卻要按著你的行為，照著你中間可憎的事報應你，你們就知道擊打你們的是我耶和華。

你離棄了我，你轉身背著我；因此我要伸手攻擊你，毀滅你，我不會再回心轉意。”這是耶和華的宣告。

我要以公平為準繩，以公義為線鉈；冰雹必把謊言的遮蔽沖去，大水必漫過庇護所。”

我要用量度撒瑪利亞的準繩和測試亞哈家的鉛錘，測量耶路撒冷；我要抹淨耶路撒冷，像人抹淨盤子一樣。抹完了，就把盤子翻轉過來。

但他必用氾濫的洪水，盡行毀滅尼尼微之地，把他的仇敵趕入黑暗之中。尼尼微人哪，你們對耶和華還有甚麼企圖？他必盡行毀滅；患難必不再次來臨。

耶和華的話又臨到我，說：“耶利米，你看見甚麼？”我說：“我看見一根杏樹枝子。”耶和華對我說：“你看得不錯，因為我要留意使我的話成就。”耶和華的話再次臨到我，說：“你看見甚麼？”我說：“我看見一個沸騰的鍋，鍋口從北面向南傾側。”

他問我：“你看見甚麼？”我回答：“我看見一卷飛行的書卷，長十公尺，寬五公尺。”

有何神像你，赦免罪孽，不追究產業之餘民的過犯呢？他不永遠懷怒，因為他喜愛憐憫。
