“你们却把酒给拿细耳人喝，嘱咐先知说：‘不要说预言。’

耶罗波安定八月十五日为节期，像在犹大的节期一样，自己上坛献祭。他在伯特利这样做，向他所铸的牛犊献祭，又把他所立丘坛的祭司安置在伯特利。

他把一个安置在伯特利，另一个安置在但。

看哪，有一个神人遵照耶和华的话从犹大来到伯特利。耶罗波安正站在坛旁烧香；

就叫使徒来，把他们打了，又吩咐他们不可奉耶稣的名讲道，然后把他们释放了。

说：“我们不是严严地禁止你们，不可奉这名教导人吗？看，你们倒把你们的道理充满了耶路撒冷，想要叫这人的血归到我们身上！”

但为避免这事越发在民间传扬，我们必须威吓他们，叫他们不可再奉这名对任何人讲论。”于是他们叫了两人来，禁止他们，再不可奉耶稣的名讲论或教导人。
