For this is what Amos is saying:“‘ Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will surely go into exile, away from their native land.’”

Amos is telling them,“‘ Jeroboam will be killed by a sword. The people of Israel will be taken away as prisoners. They will be carried off from their own land.’ ”

For thus Amos has said,“‘ Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel must go into exile away from his land.’”

He is saying,‘ Jeroboam will soon be killed, and the people of Israel will be sent away into exile.’”

for Amos has said this:‘ Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will certainly go into exile from its homeland.’”

For this is what Amos says:‘ Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will certainly go from its land into exile.’ ”

For thus Amos has said:‘ Jeroboam shall die by the sword, And Israel shall surely be led away captive From their own land.’”

何西阿九年、亞述王取撒瑪利亞、擄以色列人至亞述、使居歌散河旁之哈臘與哈博、或作使居哈臘與歌散之哈博河濱及瑪代之城邑、

彼終日顛倒顛倒或作挑斥我語言、其心所圖謀者、皆害我之事、

故必被擄於首先被擄之人中、偃息者歌聲不復聞矣、主萬有之天主曰、我指己而誓、惟彼雅各、我厭其榮華、憎其宮殿、必以斯邑與其居民、付於敵人、

我儕曾聞其言曰、此拿撒勒耶穌、將毀此所、改摩西所授我之例、

此人曾言我能毀天主殿、三日內復建之、

爾何託主名預言曰、此殿必如示羅、此邑必荒蕪、無人居處、於是眾民集於主殿、欲攻耶利米、
