寢於床第者、不聞懽呼之聲、必先他人、徙於遠方。

Therefore you will be among the first to go into exile; your feasting and lounging will end.

蓋亞麼士常言耶羅破暗必死於刃、以色列族必遷於他方、

飲時、頌美金銀銅鐵木石所造諸上帝、忽有人手之指顯現、書文字於王宮粉壁、燭臺相向之所、王見之、勃然變色、中心鬱陶、腰骨閃損、兩股戰栗、

日中而出、見便哈達與同盟之三十二王、於幕中、飲酒已醉。方伯之僕為前茅。戍卒告便哈達曰、有人自撒馬利亞出。曰、或欲修好、或欲戰鬥而出者、俱當生執之。方伯之僕自城出、軍旅從其後、各殺一敵、亞蘭人敗北、以色列族追之、亞蘭王便哈達乘馬、與騎兵偕遁。

毋求伯特利毋往吉甲、毋至別是巴、蓋吉甲人必見遷移、伯特利必歸烏有、

我心昏迷、戰栗特甚、深宵宴樂、忽變駭懼、

爾生子女、不享其福、必為人所虜。

故耶和華曰、爾妻將為妓於城中、爾之子女、蹈刃而亡、爾之田畝、以繩量度、分於眾人、爾身必死於污俗、以色列族亦被遷於遠方。

王與哈曼重赴后宴、宴時王問后曰、后有何求、即國之半、我亦予爾、

敵沉湎於酒、若荊棘叢雜、乾燥易焚。

死於刀刃、擄於諸國、耶路撒冷為異邦人蹂踐、迨異邦人之期滿焉、○

我將徙爾於大馬色外、我萬有之主耶和華已言之矣。

又曰、后宴王、群臣皆不得與、惟我一人侍食、明日宴王、我又見請。惟見猶大人木底改在御閽、箕踞以待、我雖富貴、亦不足快我心。其妻西勒與諸友謂之曰、當立木高五丈、明日求王、懸木底改於上、然後從王赴宴、則爾心快然矣、哈曼善其言、使立木焉。

王自御苑、復至宴所、見哈曼在榻前、跪抱后足。王曰、我在宮闈、乃敢辱后耶。左右聞王言、以帕掩哈曼面。內豎哈破拿告王曰、木底改昔有救王之功、哈曼反立木於家、高五丈、欲懸之於上。王曰、即以此木懸哈曼。王命既行、怒始息、昔哈曼立木、欲懸木底改、今反以自懸焉。
