Go to Kalneh and look at it; go from there to great Hamath, and then go down to Gath in Philistia. Are they better off than your two kingdoms? Is their land larger than yours?

Go and look at the city of Kalneh. Go from there to the great city of Hamath. Then go down to Gath in Philistia. Are those places better off than your two kingdoms? Is their land larger than yours?

Pass over to Calneh, and see, and from there go to Hamath the great; then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are you better than these kingdoms? Or is their territory greater than your territory,

But go over to Calneh and see what happened there. Then go to the great city of Hamath and down to the Philistine city of Gath. You are no better than they were, and look at how they were destroyed.

你能強過底比斯嗎？底比斯位於尼羅河上，四面環水，水是她的屏障，又是她的城牆。

不要讓希西迦欺騙你們，以為耶和華必拯救你們。列國的神明中有哪個曾經從亞述王手中救他的國家呢？哈馬和亞珥拔的神明在哪裡呢？西法瓦音的神明在哪裡呢？他們從我手中救撒瑪利亞了嗎？

他們正在交談的時候，非利士軍中的迦特人歌利亞出來像往常一樣向以色列軍罵陣，大衛都聽見了。

亞述王把巴比倫、古他、亞瓦、哈馬、西法瓦音等地的一些居民遷移到撒瑪利亞各城，代替以色列人。

巴比倫人造疏割·比訥神像，古他人造匿甲神像，哈馬人造亞示瑪神像，

你們去對岸的基提看看，派人去基達仔細觀察一下，看看有沒有這樣的事？雖然列國的神明根本不是真神，卻沒有一國更換自己的神明。但我的子民卻把自己榮耀的上帝換作了無用的假神。

「人子啊，你要對埃及王法老和他的百姓說，『誰能比你強大呢？看啊，亞述曾是黎巴嫩的一棵香柏樹，枝繁葉茂，遮天蔽日，高聳入雲。

哈馬王、亞珥拔王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿王和以瓦王如今在哪裡呢？」

所羅門和從哈馬口直至埃及小河而來的全體以色列人聚成一大群會眾，在我們的上帝耶和華面前守節期兩週，共十四天。

我先祖毀滅了歌散、哈蘭、利色和提·拉撒的伊甸人，這些國家的神明救得了他們嗎？哈馬王、亞珥拔王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿王和以瓦王如今在哪裡呢？」
