Horses don’t run on rocky ground. People don’t plow the sea with oxen. But you have turned fair treatment into poison. You have turned the fruit of right living into bitterness.

Do horses run on rocks? Does one plow there with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood—

Can horses gallop over boulders? Can oxen be used to plow them? But that’s how foolish you are when you turn justice into poison and the sweet fruit of righteousness into bitterness.

Do horses gallop on the cliffs? Does anyone plow there with oxen? Yet you have turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood—

你们这使公平变为茵陈、将公义丢弃于地的，

你们践踏贫民，向他们勒索麦子；你们用凿过的石头建造房屋，却不得住在其内；栽种美好的葡萄园，却不得喝所出的酒。我知道你们的罪过何等多，你们的罪恶何等大。你们苦待义人，收受贿赂，在城门口屈枉穷乏人。

他们为立约说谎言，起假誓；因此，灾罚如苦菜滋生在田间的犁沟中。

就是悖逆、不认识耶和华，转去不跟从我们的神，说欺压和叛逆的话，心怀谎言，随即说出。并且公平转而退后，公义站在远处；诚实在街上仆倒，正直也不得进入。

王后耶洗别对亚哈说：“你现在是治理以色列国不是？只管起来，心里畅畅快快地吃饭，我必将耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄园给你。”于是托亚哈的名写信，用王的印印上，送给那些与拿伯同城居住的长老贵胄。信上写着说：“你们当宣告禁食，叫拿伯坐在民间的高位上，又叫两个匪徒坐在拿伯对面，作见证告他说：‘你谤渎神和王了’；随后就把他拉出去用石头打死。”那些与拿伯同城居住的长老贵胄得了耶洗别的信，就照信而行，宣告禁食，叫拿伯坐在民间的高位上。有两个匪徒来，坐在拿伯的对面，当着众民作见证告他说：“拿伯谤渎神和王了！”众人就把他拉到城外，用石头打死。

他们却不肯听从，扭转肩头，塞耳不听，使心硬如金钢石，不听律法和万军之耶和华用灵藉从前的先知所说的话。故此，万军之耶和华大发烈怒。

“你们耕种的是奸恶，收割的是罪孽，吃的是谎话的果子。因你倚靠自己的行为，仰赖勇士众多，

“你们这硬着颈项、心与耳未受割礼的人，时常抗拒圣灵！你们的祖宗怎样，你们也怎样。哪一个先知不是你们祖宗逼迫呢？他们也把预先传说那义者要来的人杀了；如今你们又把那义者卖了，杀了。

你为何使我看见罪孽？你为何看着奸恶而不理呢？毁灭和强暴在我面前，又起了争端和相斗的事。因此律法放松，公理也不显明；恶人围困义人，所以公理显然颠倒。”

耶和华啊，你的眼目不是看顾诚实吗？你击打他们，他们却不伤恸；你毁灭他们，他们仍不受惩治。他们使脸刚硬过于磐石，不肯回头。

那藉着律例架弄残害、在位上行奸恶的，岂能与你相交吗？他们大家聚集攻击义人，将无辜的人定为死罪。

风箱吹火，铅被烧毁；他们炼而又炼，终是徒然；因为恶劣的还未除掉。人必称他们为被弃的银渣，因为耶和华已经弃掉他们。”

他们双手作恶；君王徇情面，审判官要贿赂；位分大的吐出恶意，都彼此结联行恶。

因为我素来知道你是顽梗的，你的颈项是铁的；你的额是铜的。
