Seek the Lord and live, or he will sweep through the tribes of Joseph like a fire; it will devour them, and Bethel will have no one to quench it.

Israel, look to the Lord and live. If you don’t, he will sweep through the tribes of Joseph like a fire. It will burn everything up. And Bethel won’t have anyone to put it out.

Seek the Lord and live, lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and it devour, with none to quench it for Bethel,

Come back to the Lord and live! Otherwise, he will roar through Israel like a fire, devouring you completely. Your gods in Bethel won’t be able to quench the flames.

Seek the LORD and live, or he will spread like fire throughout the house of Joseph; it will consume everything with no one at Bethel to extinguish it.

耶和華告以色列族云、求我則得生、

爾當遷善避惡、則可得生、萬有之主耶和華祐爾、以應爾所言、

南郊之林、宜聽耶和華之言、主耶和華曰、我必燃火林間、凡爾樹木、或青或枯、焚之務盡、其燄不滅、自南及北、四周盡燬、眾人皆知、我耶和華所燃、不得撲滅。

倘爾一手陷爾於罪、則斷之、寧殘缺入於生、勿兩手下地獄不滅之火、在彼蟲不死、火不滅、倘爾一足陷爾於罪、則斷之、寧跛入於生、勿兩足下地獄不滅之火、在彼蟲不死、火不滅、倘爾一目陷爾於罪、則去之、寧一目進上帝國、勿兩目投地獄之火、在彼蟲不死、火不滅、

猶大族耶路撒冷人與、當潔心志、若受割禮、崇事乎我、如爾猶作惡不悛、我怒必烈、若火之燃、炎炎不滅。

宜分地為七區。猶大族居南境、約瑟族居北境、

約瑟族往攻伯特利、耶和華祐之。約瑟族遣人窺察伯特利、昔伯特利名路斯。

以最巨之盂、盛酒醴、以至貴之油、膏肌膚、於約瑟之難、毫不矜憫、其禍必不遠矣。

我知有罪、故今日在約瑟族中、我至獨先、以迓我主我王。

耶羅破暗方在弱齡、已具英武之槩、所羅門見其勤於操作、使治約瑟全家之事。

主耶和華曰、我必降災、斯邦之民、以及野獸、林木、田土所產、我怒甚烈、靡人遏止。

先知曰、耶和華離民不遠、將加眷顧、爾當乘時祈求。

耶和華曰、我將扶持猶大家、救援約瑟族、我矜憫之、使安居無虞、與未嘗絕之無異、我耶和華為其上帝、垂顧斯民、

以色列見約瑟二子、曰、此為誰。約瑟曰、蒙上帝於斯土、賜我二子。曰、可攜之前、我為祝嘏。以色列年邁、目眯不明、約瑟攜子於前、以色列吻而抱之、謂約瑟曰、吾不意覿爾面、上帝復使睹爾子。約瑟令二子暫離膝前、而自拜伏於地。後攜二子、右執以法蓮、向以色列左、左執馬拿西、向以色列右、如是而前。以色列以右手按季子以法蓮首、左手按長子馬拿西首、非出無意。為約瑟二子祝嘏、曰、昔我祖父亞伯拉罕以撒所崇事之上帝、我生及今牧我之上帝、拯我出患難之天使、願錫嘏童蒙、當為吾子、為吾祖父亞伯拉罕以撒子孫、使昌熾於地。○約瑟見父以右手按以法蓮首、意有不悅、乃舉父手、欲自以法蓮首、移於馬拿西首、曰、吾父不可、此乃長子、請按右手於其首。父不許、曰、吾子、我知之矣。此子亦將昌大、為一族之祖、惟季必超越於長、其裔必為群族祖。是日以色列為二子祝嘏、曰、斯後以色列族將為人祝曰、願上帝使爾福祉、若以法蓮、馬拿西然。於是立以法蓮於馬拿西之先。○

則當告之曰、主耶和華云、我必取約瑟之以法蓮族、與同居之以色列支派、使與猶大族相聚、合為一族、

蓋爾上帝耶和華如火之燎、斷不容以他上帝匹之。

有爵位者如麻、其所作為如火、遇之必燃、同遭焚燬、撲滅無人。

然主耶和華曰、我指己而誓、我不以人作惡致死為悅、惟以人悛惡得生為悅、故爾以色列家當改厥惡、何必蹈於死亡、

如火焚棘、延及露積。或禾稼、或田園、則舉火者必償。
