But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!

I want you to treat others fairly. So let fair treatment roll on just as a river does! Always do what is right. Let right living flow along like a stream that never runs dry!

But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

Instead, I want to see a mighty flood of justice, an endless river of righteous living.

But let justice flow like water, and righteousness, like an unfailing stream.

世人哪，耶和華已指示你何為善。他向你所要的是甚麼呢？只要你行公義，好憐憫，存謙卑的心，與你的神同行。

我喜愛良善，不喜愛祭祀；喜愛認識神，勝於燔祭。

你們這使公平變為茵蔯、將公義丟棄於地的，

那文士對耶穌說：「夫子說，神是一位，實在不錯；除了他以外，再沒有別的神；並且盡心、盡智、盡力愛他，又愛人如己，就比一切燔祭和各樣祭祀好的多。」耶穌見他回答的有智慧，就對他說：「你離神的國不遠了。」從此以後，沒有人敢再問他甚麼。

耶和華如此說：你們要施行公平和公義，拯救被搶奪的脫離欺壓人的手，不可虧負寄居的和孤兒寡婦，不可以強暴待他們，在這地方也不可流無辜人的血。

行仁義公平比獻祭更蒙耶和華悅納。

你們要求善，不要求惡，就必存活。這樣，耶和華－萬軍之神必照你們所說的與你們同在。要惡惡好善，在城門口秉公行義；或者耶和華－萬軍之神向約瑟的餘民施恩。

因我拯救哀求的困苦人和無人幫助的孤兒。將要滅亡的為我祝福；我也使寡婦心中歡樂。我以公義為衣服，以公平為外袍和冠冕。我為瞎子的眼，瘸子的腳。我為窮乏人的父；素不認識的人，我查明他的案件。我打破不義之人的牙牀，從他牙齒中奪了所搶的。
