Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, not light— pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?

永恆主的日子不是黑暗、沒有亮光麼？不是幽暗、毫無光輝麼？

耶和華之日、非暗而無光、昏而無耀乎、

耶和華之日、豈能陰翳、絕少光明、幽深玄遠、毫不明徹、

主之日豈非幽暗無光、晦冥無耀乎、

The day of the Lord will be dark, not light. It will be very black. There won’t be a ray of sunlight anywhere.

Is not the day of the Lord darkness, and not light, and gloom with no brightness in it?

Yes, the day of the Lord will be dark and hopeless, without a ray of joy or hope.

Won’t the day of the LORD be darkness rather than light, even gloom without any brightness in it?

Will the day of the Lord not be darkness instead of light, Even gloom with no brightness in it?

Is not the day of the Lord darkness, and not light? Is it not very dark, with no brightness in it?

Shall not the day of Jehovah be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Won’t the Day of the Lord be darkness rather than light, even gloom without any brightness in it?

[ Shall] not the day of the LORD[ be] darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Don’t you realize the LORD’s day of judgment will bring darkness, not light– gloomy blackness, not bright light?

Won’t the day of Yahweh be darkness, and not light? Even very dark, and no brightness in it?

As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness.

The stars of heaven and their constellations will not show their light. The rising sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light.

before I go to the place of no return, to the land of gloom and utter darkness,to the land of deepest night, of utter darkness and disorder, where even the light is like darkness.”

That day will be a day of wrath— a day of distress and anguish, a day of trouble and ruin, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness—

but with an overwhelming flood he will make an end of Nineveh; he will pursue his foes into the realm of darkness.

They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.

That day— may it turn to darkness; may God above not care about it; may no light shine on it.May gloom and utter darkness claim it once more; may a cloud settle over it; may blackness overwhelm it.That night— may thick darkness seize it; may it not be included among the days of the year nor be entered in any of the months.
