如人避獅而遇熊、入室捫壁、被齧於蛇、

譬諸人避獅而遇熊、入室附壁、為蛇所嚙、

譬諸人避獅而遇熊、入室手倚墻壁、為蛇所噬、

It will be as though a man fled from a lion only to meet a bear, as though he entered his house and rested his hand on the wall only to have a snake bite him.

It will be like a man running away from a lion only to meet a bear. He enters his house and rests his hand on a wall only to be bitten by a snake.

as if a man fled from a lion, and a bear met him, or went into the house and leaned his hand against the wall, and a serpent bit him.

In that day you will be like a man who runs from a lion— only to meet a bear. Escaping from the bear, he leans his hand against a wall in his house— and he’s bitten by a snake.

It will be like a man who flees from a lion only to have a bear confront him. He goes home and rests his hand against the wall only to have a snake bite him.

As when a man flees from a lion And a bear confronts him, Or he goes home, leans with his hand against the wall, And a snake bites him.

如果他們問你：‘我們要去哪裡？’你就告訴他們：‘耶和華這樣說：該死亡的，就死亡；該被刀劍所殺的，就被刀劍所殺；該遭遇饑荒的，就遭遇饑荒；該被擄的，就被擄去！’我要命定四種刑罰對付他們，就是刀劍殺戮，屍體被野狗拖走，被空中的飛鳥和地上的走獸吞吃與毀滅。”這是耶和華的宣告。

地上的居民哪！恐懼、陷坑和網羅，都臨近你們！那逃避恐懼聲音的，必墮入陷坑；那從陷坑裡上來的，必被網羅纏住；因為天上的窗都開了，地的根基也震動了。

摩押的居民哪！恐懼、陷阱、圈套都落在你們身上了。”這是耶和華的宣告。“那逃避恐懼的，必跌進陷阱；那從陷阱中出來的，必被圈套困著。因為我必使摩押受懲罰的年日臨到它。”這是耶和華的宣告。

他要逃避鐵製的兵器，但銅弓的箭必把他射穿；他把箭一抽，箭就從背後出來，發亮的箭頭從他的膽中出來，死亡的驚恐臨到他身上。

我見主站在祭壇旁，他說：“擊打聖殿的柱頂，使門檻都震動。砍掉它們，落在眾人的頭上，剩下的人我必用刀殺死；沒有一個能逃走，沒有一人逃脫。如果他們下到陰間，就是在那裡，我的手必把他們揪上來；如果他們升到天上，就是在那裡，我必把他們拉下來；

當地的人看見那條蛇懸在他手上，就彼此說：“這個人一定是兇手，雖然從海裡脫險，天理也不容他活著！”

以色列人和亞蘭人相對安營，共七天。到了第七日，兩軍終於接戰了。那一天，以色列人殺了亞蘭人步兵十萬。餘下來的都逃入亞弗城裡，城牆倒塌，壓死了餘下來的二萬七千人。便．哈達也逃到城裡來，躲進一間密室裡。
