Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end[ is] it for you? the day of the LORD[ is] darkness, and not light.

想望耶和华日子来到的有祸了！你们为何想望耶和华的日子呢？那日黑暗没有光明，

想望耶和華日子的人有禍了！為甚麼你們要耶和華的日子呢？那是黑暗沒有光明的日子，

盼望耶和華的日子到來的人有禍了！你們為什麼盼望耶和華的日子呢？那日將帶來黑暗，而非光明。

渴望耶和華日子來臨的人，你們有禍了！耶和華的日子對你們有甚麼好處呢？那日是黑暗，沒有光明的日子。

那渴望着永恆主之日子的有禍啊！你們為甚麼要永恆主的日子呢？那日子究竟是黑暗，不是亮光呀：

爾望耶和華之日者禍哉、奚望耶和華之日、其日乃暗而非光也、

我耶和華之日、其象若何、幽暗無光、爾曹欲其速至、禍不遠矣。

爾曹欲主之日速至、則為有禍、主之日幽暗無光、何欲其至哉、

Woe to you who long for the day of the Lord! Why do you long for the day of the Lord? That day will be darkness, not light.

How terrible it will be for you who long for the day of the Lord! Why do you want it to come? That day will be dark, not light.

Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord! Why would you have the day of the Lord? It is darkness, and not light,

What sorrow awaits you who say,“ If only the day of the Lord were here!” You have no idea what you are wishing for. That day will bring darkness, not light.

Woe to you who long for the day of the LORD! What will the day of the LORD be for you? It will be darkness and not light.

Woe to you who are longing for the day of the Lord, For what purpose will the day of the Lord be to you? It will be darkness and not light;

Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord! For what good is the day of the Lord to you? It will be darkness, and not light.

Woe unto you that desire the day of Jehovah! Wherefore would ye have the day of Jehovah? It is darkness, and not light.

Woe to you who long for the Day of the Lord! What will the Day of the Lord be for you? It will be darkness and not light.

Woe to those who wish for the day of the LORD! Why do you want the LORD’s day of judgment to come? It will bring darkness, not light.

“ Woe to you who desire the day of Yahweh! Why do you long for the day of Yahweh? It is darkness, and not light.

Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD[ is] at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for[ it is] nigh at hand;A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it,[ even] to the years of many generations.

Alas! for that day[ is] great, so that none[ is] like it: it[ is] even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

[ There is] a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

That say, Let him make speed,[ and] hasten his work, that we may see[ it]: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know[ it]!

And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if[ one] look unto the land, behold darkness[ and] sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.

Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother.

The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

The great day of the LORD[ is] near,[ it is] near, and hasteth greatly,[ even] the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.That day[ is] a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he[ is] like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

Behold, they say unto me, Where[ is] the word of the LORD? let it come now.

Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner[ stone], a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only[ to] understand the report.For the bed is shorter than that[ a man] can stretch himself[ on it]: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself[ in it].For the LORD shall rise up as[ in] mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as[ in] the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.

Son of man, what[ is] that proverb[ that] ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth?

Son of man, behold,[ they of] the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth[ is] for many days[ to come], and he prophesieth of the times[ that are] far off.

And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as[ they were] from the beginning of the creation.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
