渴望耶和華日子來臨的人，你們有禍了！耶和華的日子對你們有甚麼好處呢？那日是黑暗，沒有光明的日子。

那渴望着永恆主之日子的有禍啊！你們為甚麼要永恆主的日子呢？那日子究竟是黑暗，不是亮光呀：

爾望耶和華之日者禍哉、奚望耶和華之日、其日乃暗而非光也、

我耶和華之日、其象若何、幽暗無光、爾曹欲其速至、禍不遠矣。

爾曹欲主之日速至、則為有禍、主之日幽暗無光、何欲其至哉、

Woe to you who long for the day of the Lord! Why do you long for the day of the Lord? That day will be darkness, not light.

How terrible it will be for you who long for the day of the Lord! Why do you want it to come? That day will be dark, not light.

Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord! Why would you have the day of the Lord? It is darkness, and not light,

What sorrow awaits you who say,“ If only the day of the Lord were here!” You have no idea what you are wishing for. That day will bring darkness, not light.

Woe to you who long for the day of the LORD! What will the day of the LORD be for you? It will be darkness and not light.

Woe to you who are longing for the day of the Lord, For what purpose will the day of the Lord be to you? It will be darkness and not light;

Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord! For what good is the day of the Lord to you? It will be darkness, and not light.

Woe to you who long for the Day of the Lord! What will the Day of the Lord be for you? It will be darkness and not light.

Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end[ is] it for you? the day of the LORD[ is] darkness, and not light.

Woe to those who wish for the day of the LORD! Why do you want the LORD’s day of judgment to come? It will bring darkness, not light.

“ Woe to you who desire the day of Yahweh! Why do you long for the day of Yahweh? It is darkness, and not light.

Alas for the day! for the day of Jehovah is at hand, and as destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain; let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of Jehovah cometh, for it is nigh at hand;a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, as the dawn spread upon the mountains; a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after them, even to the years of many generations.

Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

There is a crying in the streets because of the wine; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of Jehovah cometh.

that say, Let him make speed, let him hasten his work, that we may see it; and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!

And they shall roar against them in that day like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold, darkness and distress; and the light is darkened in the clouds thereof.

Through the wrath of Jehovah of hosts is the land burnt up; and the people are as the fuel of fire: no man spareth his brother.

The earth quaketh before them; the heavens tremble; the sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining.

The great day of Jehovah is near, it is near and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of Jehovah; the mighty man crieth there bitterly.That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

Behold, I send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant, whom ye desire, behold, he cometh, saith Jehovah of hosts.But who can abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:

For, behold, the day cometh, it burneth as a furnace; and all the proud, and all that work wickedness, shall be stubble; and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith Jehovah of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

Behold, they say unto me, Where is the word of Jehovah? let it come now.

Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us; for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner- stone of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not be in haste.And I will make justice the line, and righteousness the plummet; and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding- place.And your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.As often as it passeth through, it shall take you; for morning by morning shall it pass through, by day and by night: and it shall be nought but terror to understand the message.For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it; and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.For Jehovah will rise up as in mount Perazim, he will be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon; that he may do his work, his strange work, and bring to pass his act, his strange act.Now therefore be ye not scoffers, lest your bonds be made strong; for a decree of destruction have I heard from the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, upon the whole earth.

Son of man, what is this proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth?

Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of times that are far off.

and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
