Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

Therefore Israel will be abandoned until the time when she who is in labor bears a son, and the rest of his brothers return to join the Israelites.

The next day Moses said to the people,“ You have committed a great sin. But now I will go up to the Lord; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.”

Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever.

There are those who hate the one who upholds justice in court and detest the one who tells the truth.

I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.

Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from his fierce anger so that we will not perish.”

I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path.

It may be that the Lord your God will hear all the words of the field commander, whom his master, the king of Assyria, has sent to ridicule the living God, and that he will rebuke him for the words the Lord your God has heard. Therefore pray for the remnant that still survives.”

Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord, and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies.

Do this, and you will not sin.“ Amariah the chief priest will be over you in any matter concerning the Lord, and Zebadiah son of Ishmael, the leader of the tribe of Judah, will be over you in any matter concerning the king, and the Levites will serve as officials before you. Act with courage, and may the Lord be with those who do well.”

Even on their beds they plot evil; they commit themselves to a sinful course and do not reject what is wrong.

“ I will surely gather all of you, Jacob; I will surely bring together the remnant of Israel. I will bring them together like sheep in a pen, like a flock in its pasture; the place will throng with people.

If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly,if you do not oppress the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm,then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your ancestors for ever and ever.
