撒玛利亚的居民必因伯‧亚文的牛犊惊恐；它的百姓为它悲哀，它的祭司为它战兢，因为荣耀已经离开它。人必将牛犊带到亚述，当作礼物献给大王。以法莲必蒙羞，以色列必因自己的计谋惭愧。撒玛利亚的王要灭亡，如水面上的泡沫一般。亚文的丘坛，以色列犯罪的地方必毁坏，荆棘和蒺藜必长在他们的祭坛上。他们要向大山说：遮盖我们！向小山说：倒在我们身上！

所以在你百姓中必掀起闹哄，你一切的堡垒必被拆毁，就如沙勒幔在争战的日子拆毁伯‧亚比勒，将城中的母子一同摔碎。伯特利啊，因你们的大恶，你们必遭遇如此。黎明来临，以色列的王必全然灭绝。

他又在玛拿西、以法莲、西缅、拿弗他利各城和四围的废墟，拆毁祭坛，把亚舍拉和雕刻的像打碎成灰，砍断以色列全地所有的香坛。于是他回耶路撒冷去了。

不要往伯特利寻求，不要进入吉甲，也不要过到别是巴；因为吉甲必被掳走，伯特利必归无有。”要寻求耶和华，就必存活，免得他在约瑟家如火发出，焚烧伯特利，无人扑灭。

现在你去，领这百姓往我所告诉你的地方去，看哪，我的使者必在你的前面引路。到了该惩罚的时候，我必惩罚他们的罪。”

这一切事都完毕以后，在那里的以色列众人就到犹大的城镇，打碎柱像，砍断亚舍拉，又在犹大、便雅悯、以法莲、玛拿西遍地把丘坛和祭坛完全拆毁。于是以色列众人各回各城，各归自己产业的地去了。

因此，我必使撒玛利亚变为田野的废墟，用以栽植葡萄；我必把它的石头倒在山谷，掀开它的地基。城里一切雕刻的偶像必被打碎，行淫的赏金全被火烧，我要毁灭它的一切偶像；因为从妓女的赏金积聚而来的，它们仍归为妓女的赏金。

神人遵照耶和华的话向坛呼叫，说：“坛哪，坛哪！耶和华如此说：‘看哪，大卫家必生一个儿子，名叫约西亚，他必将在你上面烧香的丘坛祭司，宰杀在你上面，人的骨头也必烧在你上面。’”当日，神人设个预兆，说：“这是耶和华说的预兆：‘看哪，这坛必破裂，坛上的灰必倾倒出来。’”耶罗波安王听见神人向伯特利的坛呼叫的话，就从坛上伸手，说：“拿住他！”王向神人所伸的手却萎缩了，不能弯回。坛也破裂了，坛上的灰倾倒出来，正如神人遵照耶和华的话所设的预兆。

我看见主站在祭坛旁，说：“你要击打柱顶，使门槛震动，要剪除众人当中为首的，他们中最后的，我必用刀杀戮；无一人能逃避，无一人能逃脱。
